Erin Valley Riding Stable

Rating based on summer camp program only.My daughter went to the camp here and felt so uncomfortable on the first day we almost picked her up.Many things occurred that were frustrating: organization and timing of activities, food (pre requested vegetarian but scarce), extra fees after cost of camp (although option to do a rodeo offsite, we felt obligated since if our daughter didn't go then none could and she would likely have been shunned if her parents saying no caused no one to go), older girls were not nice to my daughter (my husband witnessed one yelling at her). Previous training is not taken into consideration and anyone new is put in a beginner category and is not able to do many things so no skill growth to note from the experience. Kids parents would bring them treats so our daughter felt left out so we felt obligated to bring her stuff (and since the vegetarian options were so bleak she wanted extra snacks).Although we had these frustrations, we did speak with the lady running it and she was compassionate and said she would fix things right away. There was some improvement but the place is very clicky and not ideal for someone who is new to the place and even the slightest bit shy.Even though we booked the older age group, my daughter was placed in the younger group (without notice). The other group received more treat items (two popsicles instead of one, etc) which seems odd to me. The other group got to ride in the trails while the other group did not. It was very age and who you know divided. They didn’t know my daughters experience before arriving and seemed to assume she didn’t know much because she is smaller for her age.My daughter said she will not go back. Which is good because I wouldn’t agree to book in the future either.

We did not have a good experience. The lady on the phone was very rude and short. Asked for a e transfer for the trail ride, witch we sent. Got out their and no one was around. Could not find anyone. We drove over a hour for nothing. Finally got ahold of the next day and they said we did not have a deposit so it was not guaranteed. We sent the full amount. Very very unprofessional. I have heard they are a great family and are great with horses. Need to work on their customer service skills and organization. We were able to go up to Sun Peaks and have a great ride. The scenery looked to be much better in Sun Peaks. Not as hot as well.

Can't thank Erin valley Riding stable enough. My grandmother who has dementia is absolutely in love with horses right now. So I called Erin valley Riding school and asked if we could come by and meet a couple of horses. Not only did they say yes but our Wrangler Jim was extremely professional, knowledgable, relatable and was so good with my grandma and her dementia. 5 out of 5 stars forsure. Met all my expectations and blew them to bits. Looking forward to setting up a ride for my grandma before her mind is lost forever. Thank you again so much. Meant the world to my grandma and my family. ♥️

Had a blast with my friends on the trail ride today. Jordan was a great guide and made it an awesome experience, he had lots of knowledge to share about horses and was very friendly, will definitely be coming back for another ride!

Took my son and nephew there for the toddler ride and they had a blast. Everyone was nice and pleasant. Great time. Will definitely be coming back

It was my first time riding and had a great expierance. My horse kicked another horse but that just added to the fun. The guide Justine was great. The trail that we went on was beautiful and my horse kept eating purple flowers. Me and my cousin asked many stupid questions and the guide gladly answered all of them.

Had lots of fun meeting the horses and ponies and learning about the farm at our toddler session! Staff were friendly and knowledgeable and patient with my nervous boy. By the end he was wanting to stay longer. Cant wait to come back for more adventures with the horses :)

Alot of fun. We came up for our daughters birthday to ride a horse an pet ponies and dogs. She wouldn't touch the horse or ride it but enjoyed playing on a tractor and skid steer. The people there were very friendly as well as good with the kids that were there.

Great experience, took my two kids today. Riders were a mix of total beginners to advanced, and the horses were beautiful, healthy, and calm. Debbie-Lynn and Jim were friendly and welcoming guides; after successfully getting us all mounted (there is a platform, so it's fairly easy to get on), we were led, single file, on a peaceful walk through the scenic grasslands and sagebrush hills behind the property. I wish I could go do this every day! I highly recommend a trail ride here. One thing to note is to take time with your guide to adjust your stirrups if your legs aren't at a totally comfortable angle, because it really started hurting my knees just a few minutes into the ride. In hindsight, I should have taken another minute right when I got on to get it adjusted more comfortably.
