Hampton Inn Sudbury, Ontario

Sunday afternoon check in..front desk staff are great as usual,we have stayed before. This time however we are somewhat disappointed..the pool and pool area is dirty..hair is visible on the pool decking and the water is not clear but cloudy and also hair visible floating around in it. The one bedroom suite, although spacious is well past its prime. Furniture is torn and worn out. We will see how the sleep is later!!.Time for a major refresh at this location. Smart TVs would also be a nice touch.

The lobby of the hotel looked very nice, but that is where the good ends. In the room the bed was very old and springy making it near impossible to get comfortable. The carpet in the hallway was pulling up creating a trip hazard, and worst of all the curtains in our room were ripped. Of course the room issues weren’t noticed until bed time for our kids so we thought whatever it’s kind of gross, but we’ll get by. Then at 6 am the sun fills the entire room because we can’t close the curtains completely waking every one up. There were 4 tired people the whole next day. I don’t know if I’ll ever be in Sudbury again, but if I am I’ll look elsewhere for lodging.This review was solicited by Hampton Inn.

Staff seems competent, albeit cold which is ok I guess. Rooms are old but ok, bathroom could be a little but cleaner. The lack of hot water is particularly lovely though.

Arrived to check in and although they had all of my information, I was told by the gentleman at the counter that they no longer had a room for me. There was also a kid warning us to avoid the fourth floor because there would be hockey parties all night. The gentleman proceeded to show us two rooms that would not work as they only had only one bed and we are a family of four before doing something on the computer and finding us a room on the 5th floor. Not a very welcome greeting at all, but at least he found us a room. The bathroom in the room smelled very musty. The fan did not work and there was mold in the shower. See attached photos. Gross. Plus side, beds were comfy and breakfast was decent.

We pulled in on our way further north and needed a room , the gentleman at the front desk Andrew was more than helpful. Very pleasant and quick to get us checked in. The room was very nice and breakfast in the morning was great. But definitely Andrew's greeting and friendliness sold us on this place.

Staff are unfriendly at this location and do not grant your requests of essential bathroom items. (ie bathroom tissue and bath towels). This hotel needs to update their beds and pillows, they are horrible. They also need to adjust their attitudes and be kind and friendly. I felt targeted, no one else was treated badly in my workshop group. Hmmmm, makes me wonder, I am pretty friendly and kind. I understand people have a bad day, but their behavior towards me continued on throughout my stay.

Service was great.Room sucked. Stayed in a jacuzzi room for 2 nights, half the jets in the tub didn't work, the curtains don't close so there is no sleeping in with the sun in the morning, the room was super outdated, the bed was not comfortable at all.

Rooms were decent. Pillows were old and were not fluffy at all. Lamps were broken and they were not working. No coffee cups or pen/pad. For a Hilton brand, this place needs improvement. The carpet on the walkway are coming off and needs replacing.

Amazing place to stay, great staff, great facilities and very clean! Highly recommend.One note to visitors the luggage carts aren't meant for you to keep in your room until you check out!!!

Pretty sad. I called to book 30 rooms for may27, July 14&15. That's alot of money for the hotel and they refused me cause they won't book that many rooms at one time..what's wrong with businesses. Security deposits cover cancels...but it's a guaranteed wedding...come on... sorry people...we will give our business to someone else.
