Mackenzie's Mannered Mutts

Mackenzie has been so wonderful while working with my dog. She’s always polite, punctual, and great at communicating when scheduling changes happen or other things like that. She also instinctively knew how to talk to and interact with my highly fearful rescue so he knew she meant business, but also wouldn’t hurt him. I’ve seen a lot of improvement in his behavior since starting with her, from things as simple as getting off furniture to more important things like interacting with strangers on the street, and trusting/being safe around his vet. It’s been clear since the first visit, that she cares a lot about making him comfortable and giving him the confidence to do well, rather then making him afraid to make a mistake or get in trouble. I really wanted someone like that, who would use positivity and support in training rather then punishment. My dog is a rescue who was abused pretty badly, and he still has a lot of fear around new things and people, so I really wanted to make sure he would be treated with dignity and respect, so he can eventually get past that fear and so I can build trust with him. Mackenzie has shown that 100% of the time and even though he hates being pushed out of his comfort zone, he gets so excited when she comes!
