SOCRATES in the Heights

Came across this unassuming Greek food place from the front at first, but they serve some of the tastiest Greek meals in the city.The place overall consists mostly of a very large kitchen in the back. They have some dine-in seatings but very limited, which makes me think maybe they serve more take-outs and catering. We showed up at around 8PM on a Saturday evening. There's some people coming by to pick up their orders but overall the place was very quiet. They have some small tables and chairs outside, only to sit 2 people each. But since there's no one there, we opted to enjoy our meals outside to soak up some rare Vancouver evening sun.Price is fair, portion is good, every single component of our souvlaki meals is seasoned to perfection and the soft pita bread came warm, toasted with slight crispiness outside but fluffy inside and oh, so garlicky! It's heaven.If you're confused as to why there's no menu inside, there's a large QR code you can scan on the window as you walk through the door to see their digital menu. We'll definitely come back again.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Socrates in the Heights and it was a delightful experience. I ordered the Roast Lamb and it was cooked to perfection, full of flavor and tender. The service was exceptional, and it felt like I was being served by my own mother. Margarita, the owner, was very friendly and welcoming which added to the heartwarming atmosphere of the restaurant. Overall, I had a fantastic dining experience at Socrates in the Heights and would highly recommend it to others. If you're looking for a restaurant that serves delicious food with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, then Socrates in the Heights is definitely the place to be!

Excellent Greek Food. The lamb and chicken souvlaki were juicy and very tasty. Healthy portion of rice, tzatziki, and potatoes. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will bring my parents and any of my out of town family members.

This place is always busy - probably because it is so good! They nail greek food. When you go in you can see the cooks hard at work, everything tastes so home-made and made with love. The fresh pita is AMAZING and also whichever souvlaki you choose add the prawn skewer because it adds a lot of yum. We usually eat in when we go because we feel portions are bigger, and the presentation is great. They are always so excited and happy to serve you and you can tell they take pride in what they do.FLAVOUR CITY.

Best Greek food in all of Vancouver by far. Kalamari is out of this world, souvlaki also great. Ingredients are so fresh, staff are friendly.

The chicken souvlaki was amazing. Pretty small and quaint. Yet don't let the image fool you. This place has some seriously amazing Greek food. Some of the best I've ever had. It was awesome! I highly recommend it.

It’s pretty small inside so we sat outside. The cashier/server was very friendly. The food was amazing! The Greek salad tasted so fresh and had lots of feta. Everything was perfect! I can’t wait to go back again. I had the lamb skewer and added prawns

We ordered the meal for 4, which included chicken skewers, rice, potatoes, Greek salad and pita bread, in addition to hummus. All of the food was delicious and homemade. Even items that would be considered not to be the main event like the hummus were flavourful and made with care. Unfortunately, the hummus was accidentally forgotten in our takeout order, but when we called in to report the issue, the restaurant went out of their way to deliver the missing hummus to us, which goes to illustrate the fantastic service here. Will definitely be ordering here again.

Felt like I was in Greece just by the tastes alone. Heaps of tzatziki soothed my hangry self. perfect seasonings, quintessential greek flavours, textures, and fresh ingredients.It says online that it’s a take-out restaurant but they do have a few tables for dine-in. I paid at the cashier and the lady served my food.Overall great experience. Will definitely come back when I’m around there

Chicken bbq is really good. Lamb is not bad.
