The strength training I have received here has been incredible. I joined as a 50 y/o man who has been going to the gym since my thirties but plateaued long ago without a clear sense of how to up my workouts safely. Before my sessions at Personal Edge, I had gotten into a routine of working out (5 days a week) but then injuring myself resulting in three months of physio and a break from the gym, only to start back at square one.It's been about five months now training twice a week at Personal Edge (and continuing my work outs 3 times at my regular gym on my own). The training I received on a) proper form and b) maximizing my time at the gym has been invaluable to me and well worth the cost of the training. My trainer, Ian, is highly knowledgeable not only about strength training and injury prevention, but also about recovery.I highly recommend Personal Edge Training if you are serious about upping your workouts or even just wanting to figure out how to start. I've seen clients of all ages and shapes, with all sorts of needs. These small boutique gyms always look a bit intimidating (as it did to me at one point), but the trainers at Personal Edge are really relaxed and inclusive, and always positive and encouraging.

Actually, the name of the facility speaks for itself. My son has been training with a trainer named Connor. Connor is one of a kind guy with a true passion for every aspect of the fitness journey. I have worked with so many guys around the world due to my past sport career. I hardly found a true professional with creativity, passion, and attention to detail when it comes to delivering sport specific functional movements to maximize power throughput. He is not a person who simply pours the kinesiology book knowledge to a client. He has deep understanding on isolated elements that need to address for strength, flexibility and power on specific sport. After all Connor is very humble person and always giving and receiving feedbacks from clients. My son is so happy about how things turned out and look forward to work with them for years to come.

I trained with Rhiannon weekly for over a year, including all 9 months of my pregnancy, and couldn’t be happier with the results. I felt stronger and healthier every week we worked out, and she helped me develop a sustainable workout plan that I could stick to. Since I was new to weight training, the beginning (before my pregnancy) started slow, learning functional movements and getting my form right before loading with weight. I got to see how absolutely invaluable this effort was when my body was carrying the load of a growing baby all day every day. I began using what she taught me to do basic tasks around the house, always hinging, squatting, engaging my core, as if I was lifting heavy weights, even when I was just unloading the dishwasher. I saw almost all of my back pain disappear, and I was able to remain active and keep moving right up until I gave birth. She kept me motivated and made it easy to adapt my workouts to my constantly changing body and energy levels. Now a week postpartum, I’m walking 30 minutes a day and eager to be cleared for more vigorous exercise. I have no doubt that my recovery has been dramatically easier because of Rhiannon’s help. I chose Connor and Personal Edge Training as personal trainers because I wanted someone to teach me how to exercise safely, and keep me interested and going to the gym. I got so much more! As a personal fitness trainer and registered kinesiologist, Connor designed a training program specifically for me. One that fits my needs perfectly. I enjoy training under Conner, his passion for fitness keeps me going every week. That, and the results speak for themselves. I’ve improved my strength and I’ve felt amazing doing it.

I had chronic back pain for 2 years i went to so many massage therapists and chiropractics non of them were able to help me like Connor did. Connor is a registered kinesiologist. He help me to get a stronger core, now my back pain is over thanks to Connor.

I have worked with trainers in the past, and been happy with the results of the workout during our time together, but then completely lost when I attempt to workout by myself. Working Ian over the last 2 months has been wonderful. I feel really great about the work we do together, and I we work on similar exercises, and he is able to explain how and why to do the movements, so I am able to replicate it by myself, work out at home and continue my training, so I am seeing better results.I will continue to work with the trainers at this gym because of the positive atmosphere. I feel supported and seen as an individual. My plan is personalized and Ian pushes me to do MY best, encouraging me with passion and humour.I am seeing amazing results, both in my physical health, and my mental state. The positive support make me excited to go to the gym, even on days when I struggle to motivate, it is only ever a few minutes before I feel grateful to be there.

I joined Personal Edge training 4 months prior to my wedding day in hopes of targeting some of my problem areas I was having difficulty toning on my own. I am a fairly active person but needed further direction on how to get the results I was seeking prior to my big day! Ian was my trainer and was absolutely fantastic to train with. He always delivered a challenging workout with new moves every week to keep me interested and showed a genuine interest in me achieving my goals. During my 4 month period at Personal Edge, I gained significant strength and toning in my arms, legs and abs, and lost 1 dress size. I can honestly say that I have never felt better about the way I look than I did on my wedding day. I have Ian and the Personal Edge staff to thank for that! I would highly recommend Personal Edge for any brides-to-be out there or anyone looking for a more personal workout!
