I drive by this spot everyday on my way to and from work and always say that I should stop for lunch one day. Today was the day. I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich and fries to go. First off as I was seated waiting for my order the server brought me a glass of water. What a great touch. As for the food, I don't know how they cook the fries but they stayed hot and crispy after the drive back to the office. The sandwich was delicious and when the cook (maybe the owner?) comes out to thank me for my order?) I will definitely be back.

Absolutely loved everything about this little joint. The owner seems like the nicest person in the world and pours his heart and soul into every inch of this place. Food was excellent and our server was wonderful. Very impressed.My coworker raved about this restaurant and I was not one bit disappointed.

Amazing hidden gem ! Winnipeg’s best kept secret ! Hands-down the most delicious hamburger you will find anywhere in the city ! Yes, they’re known for their schnitzel and other foods (all of which are very tasty and great fries !!) but their hamburgers are absolutely the best, the most flavourful - the buns are unique - extremely fresh and tasty, and the meat is spiced so perfectly you don’t need condiments ! Cannot say enough how great the burger is at this restaurant, and the owner is an amazingly welcoming person who truly cares about the food and the customers. Prices very reasonable. Home made real food which tastes delicious. Can’t get any better than that. C’mon Winnipeg let’s support this establishment that is really a jewel in todays restaurant market. Try it - you’ll see for yourself.

Just tried the Schnitzel Burger, onion rings and cheese Spatzle. The burger was absolutely delicious! The onion rings were still nice and crispy when we got them home and the spatzle was TO DIE FOR! I think next time I’ll add some sour cream and sauerkraut to the sortable as I think it will be good on it.

Schnitzel better than BD, loved the Cheese Spatzle and Curry Wurst.The owner is a super sweet person, enjoyed our conversation.Great home made food. You won’t be disappointed.

A great spot. The food was absolutely incredible! You’re welcomed with a friendly hello when you walk in the door and the serving staff treat you like family. I cannot recommend this place enough.

I've been to Germany, and I've spent a lot of time in Milwaukee at some nice German spots, and I can say this is some of the best German food I've ever had.The curry bratwurst was the best I've ever had.The chicken schnitzel was lightly breaded, didn't have any weird oil taste, and was a very nice portion. It was utterly fantastic.I don't really have a comparison for the honey deal since that was the first time I've had it but I did enjoy it. The chicken fingers looked like your typical deep fried frozen kind but these two were also quite good and had way more chicken than breading which was a little unexpected.My partner ordered a burger and it was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The Kaiser roll it was on had good flavor and grabability.Simply top notch all around. What a fantastic gem.

I pulled into here purely on speculation. The staff was friendly and happy. The menu has decent pictures and good descriptions of the fare.The menu is primarily German cuisine. Schnitzel is the house special. They also produce large sandwiches.I had the Arizona sandwich 5/5. Excellent my next visit will include a Hunter Schnitzel.

3.5 star ratingSchnitzel was good. I find it much lighter than the one from Bistro Dansk. Although, it has less flavour on its own in comparison. Not a big deal though considering you can pair it with red cabbage or have it served with different toppings. The potato salad was really good.Would I recommend people to come here? 100% . Food is like your grandmother cooked it. It’s got that touch of love and home.Love the uniqueness of the interior. Gives it super diner feels.I would love if they improved upon their bathrooms. It just wasn’t very well kept.The Filipino lady who served us this weekend definitely needs to work on her customer service. She was very terse and just cold compared to the man who took our order. She made us feel like she didn’t want to be there.We will for sure be back!
