Had $270 worth of brand new, 150 sq feet Eurotile Italian porcelain tiles to donate and loaded into the car, and was floored when Trainyards Habitat refused them at the back door because the tiles weren't in their original packaging. When I phoned earlier, no one told me that the tiles had to be pre-packaged! For the average person donating, or even receiving, lifting and loading a set of 6 or more heavy floor tiles per box is not possible and you usually had to break open the box to load them from your car into your house when you first purchased them. All the effort of loading and stacking these 150 tiles into the car and driving to this branch of Habitat to donate them was a huge waste of time and energy. I guess the economy's not THAT bad when you can walk away from $160 plus resale while also depriving a lower income customer the opportunity to buy quality tiles at a deep discount. I would've even offered to help load them. BTW, I've seen plenty of unpackaged tiles in Habitat's Re-store. Customers pick apart the amount of tiles they want, leaving the remainder behind in various piles. SMH at the waste of resources and money. Somebody on Kijii or Buy Nothing will snap these up, and Habitat will needlessly lose out.

Selection has gone down hill and pricing is sometimes actually more expensive then for brand new. Donation system for this location is wack and inconsistent.Used to love this place but find I'm just doing Kijiji more and more. Locations in other cities are much better!

Lady at front was very rude. I asked for a price on a lampshade because it did not have a sticker on it. She said she looked at price for the same lampshade at Lowes and it was 114.00. She said she would give it to us for 45.00 without blinking an eye. I checked Lowes website for lampshades and that price on a shade doesn’t exist. Once again, she was very rude.

I have been a regular donor and customer at Re-store and have always had a great experience - helpful, professional BUT today that was not the case. Went to make donation and the lady was rude and told me they were short staffed and if I booked a drop off which I have never done. I understand that businesses can be short staffed but I could have been told in a more polite way that they could not accept a donation. Very disappointed that the supervisor sided with her rude staff member.

I have been a regular shopper at Restore. However, I do agree that the prices for some things can be quite high....so watch what you are paying for, possible some defective items. It's not about helping or being charitable ....its all about making money.

i saw a staff member place an exacto knife on a table out in the open and leave it there for an extended period of time, making that a liability. its also a very messy, unorganized space, ive seen unclean objects placed randomly by what i assume is the manager. more organization would be great

Was here yesterday and the staff was amazing. I picked out tiles (which were not priced) and was told a price, and said I would come back to grab them. I came back today and the lady working was very rude. She turned one customer away over $2 (he couldn't afford the insane price). I went to grab the tile I had pick out (which still had no sticker) and explained to the lady I was there previously and was told said price. She said no and then made up a price almost doubled of what I was told. Unwilling to budge on the price I told her I would go elsewhere. Her response was a snarky Goodluck". Who is this store even for?"

Love popping in here. Must frequent often as stock moves and changes rapidly. I've had lots of luck with tile at this location. Also some great furniture; antiques included,
