If I could give this place more that 5 stars I would. Cass and Anesh are truly awesome and they love what they do, they are dedicated and personable they ensure the can do" attitude. Gigi is my first big breed dog I must say I had lacked the confidence when I first started the obedience and advance training

K9 Academy is the perfect spot if you have a dog that needs training. I found them just googling Toronto trainers especially with big dogs. I tried petsmart and positive reinforcement doesn’t work for everyone’s dog.I was blown away with Anesh and Cass’ help with my first reactive dog, Tobias. They recommended him for behaviours modification and we went back to the basics with him. He used to lunge/bark at new people, not listen, pull everywhere and with my accident, I couldn’t walk him without help. We also had to have a muzzle as a precaution. Not only did they help me with his manners, they helped shape up his obedience and we got to a point I can trust him off leash completely in a new area (and obvs in a posted off leash area), which i was not able to even let him off the leash in an area he already knew. He now knows how to keep calm and be independent around other dogs and people. Even at home, we can have people come over without him having a 20min bark and lunge session. Now I still advocate for him as he does not like to be pet by randoms but he at least will tolerate being pet once in awhile or near new people and kids. To be able to trust my dog and take him to new places just made our bond stronger and I cannot thank them enough.When I got my second dog, Caveria at 8 weeks, we waited till she got her shots before starting classes. I started her with them in the puppy program so I did not have the same problems as before and didn’t make as many mistakes. We are currently doing the advance training and she is doing amazing as we started her off with the right guidance. They make the information we need simpler that we actually enjoy doing the “homework”. She is the friendliest, loving pup but she is a firecracker. She loves training and has some crazy drive so will continue to take her to the elite classes for that extra fun and build her foundation strong.Being with the right trainers who have the knowledge and understanding to genuinely help each dog is why I love going to them. Class is definitely fun and they put you in situations where the dog is able to practice safely before we try our homework with more distractions. If your dog needs some tune up on training or you want a reliable source, look no further than K9 Academy!

I am overwhelmingly thankful for K9 Academy. My dog has a lot of anxiety, and we had worked with a few trainers but he just kept getting worse to the point where I was second guessing my decision to get a dog at all. I put him in a month long board and train as my last attempt, and it was night and day. Anesh and Cass were able to give my dog a strong foundation, did some sessions with me to make sure I was ready to maintain his training at home, and have since been quick to answer any questions. This was 2 years ago and he’s only gotten better. I understand my dog and how to read his behaviours and communicate with him better, and we’re able to do things like hikes/camping which was something I couldn’t imagine before.They’re also 100% the only people I truly feel comfortable leaving him with when I travel, he’s still a little anxious and can get rowdy when I leave him places but it’s incredible how much he loves Anesh and Cas. There’s so much care in how they run their business and training, I talk about them constantly. Thank you so much from me and Hub :)

Completing the puppy training course with K9 Academy was the best decision we made for our dog. They were very knowledgeable and patient with all the dogs/clients. They gave us the tools we needed to train at home between sessions and always asked for feedback. Our dog is now amazing at walking and having good reactions around other dogs. If you have a puppy, do not think twice about training - you will never regret it! You're only going to make your life with your pup more enjoyable and less stressful later on.

When my dog was a younger he was prone to pulling while walking (to the point where he would hurt himself), jumping up on people, was terrified of his crate, and despite puppy training, was not responding to the commands we had worked on together.Anesh, Cass and the K9 Academy team transformed our dog by instilling new methods of training and empowering my wife and I with how to take control of situations. Using equipment (prong, ecollar), techniques and patience (on everyone’s part) we were able to build expectations for behaviour by understanding what our dog needed to thrive.Further, experiencing pack walks with seasoned trainers allowed our dog to grow closer with other dogs while having proper behaviours reinforced.Above it all - they’re just great people too! They love dogs so very much and dogs love them. They care and it shows.We will forever be grateful to the K9 team for not only helping to train our dog but also us to be better owners.

We really enjoyed the group training classes and working with the trainers here. You can tell they really care and want the best for your dog! Our dog Nova has shown an improvement with her reactivity and anxiety toward dogs. They helped us understand how to properly use the e-collar and we’ve been able to have her off-leash more often knowing she will listen 100%. Would recommend them to anyone interested in getting training for their dog.

K9 Academy are one of a few facilities that can train any breed with success. There obedience training is professional and effective. There approach and tactics is to get the owners to understand your dog's mindset and reverse its unwanted behavior through a systematic training regime. We have been to several dog trainers with our two dogs and found k9 Academy to be the best one for value, results and professional. And check out there merchandising. Don't hesitate on this one...!

I signed up for the behavior modification course and the difference in my dog, even halfway through course, was night and day. After tying 3 other classes through another organization, this was really the only training that actually made a difference in his behavior and anxious mindset. By reducing my dog's reactivity he can now live a much fuller life.Cass and Anesh did such an amazing job expalining the foundations of dog psychology and how to train your dog to have a calm non-reactive mindset. I can't reccomend this course enough, it is well worth it!

The. Absolute. Best. I have tried 7 different trainers and K9 Academy have been the only ones that were able to help me get my dog under control. Cass and Anesh were able to teach me how to work with my dog, and the difference is night and day. Not only are Cass and Anesh amazing trainers, but the whole team is fun and so great to work with. My pup practically jumps out of the car window every time we go there because he loves it so much. K9 Academy are the only ones I trust with my pup.

Get a harness they said. It stops the pulling they said. Sadly, that was not the case and soon this cute little guy grew to be an 85 lb 9 month old that was fully out of control on a leash. K9 taught me how to communicate better with Gus and get him walking well on and off a leash, as well as some other incredibly important skills that will help keep him safe. I can't recommend Anesh and Cass highly enough. We are grateful for them.
