convenient location, friendly staff (for the most part), I noticed a mark up of Atleast 20% compared to market on a lot of items (from books to figurines). They offer a end of the month sale “buy one get the second one half off” which is suppose to be for the whole store for the most part but it seems to be subject to the owners discretion. (Was there today, something felt off about how the owner responded to me when inquiring on a item I would have purchased had I been able to take advantage of the promotion)If it’s urgent, I’d recommend this place but if you have time; you can find better value for your dollar elsewhere.

I sold about 50 comics to Phil yesterday. My brother had bought his comics from this store and the previous shop in Square One for the past 20 years. My brother died just over 2 months ago, it was really hard and very emotionally draining to sell them but I know he would have wanted me to do that to help me financially. I hope who ever buys these they will enjoy them. Phil was very nice but I wish under my dire circumstances I could of gotten a bit more, but my dearest wish is that my brother never passed away and was still here with me.

*** it is important to note this man straight up lies in his responses. it was a month prior not several months i know this because i had only been going to this shop for a month before i decided to sell my books. i checked my phone records and he did infact sell me the books 1 month and 4 days before i posted my review... didnt even try to make it right... otherwise would have taken it down.... do not go here. there are a lot of other comic stores that have reasonable people working there*******I sold this guy my venom collection about a month ago. He was very happy to buy it from me. I am now realizing it’s worth waaay more than he gave me for it. I had venom Donny cates venom 3 was In there it’s going for 300$+ right now. I sold it to him for about 20 and he happily ripped me off.ALWAYS do your research before you want to sell your comics!

Really nice people and great service, but their plastic models are overpriced. They are at least twice the price of other hobby shops. They really need to fix their pricing if they want to get rid of all those gunpla. Come here if you're into comics though.

I have been in this store a few times. Phil is awesome. I know I will probably pay more than online for some things that are coming from somewhere that is not a brick and mortar store in one of the highest priced real estate markets in the country. Some of you need to ask why he left Square One in the first place.Phil has always had a good deal sitting on the counter, has always been a great conversation, and I enjoy going there, even when I don't find anything that excites me.I have been to a LOT of comic stores over the years and so many are run by people who can't hold a conversation, have overstock with dust on it, and full of stuff I have no interest in. I really do love this store.

Friendly attitude but not a Friendly transaction, they currently have a promotion to buy one get one half off, which is a great promotion but when the owner personally selects the cheapest one to discount and acts like they are giving you a better deal doesn't feel like it's a great deal and now i feel like I was ripped off to the point I'm thinking of returning them and going to another store altogether. Careful with what you buy and how they price it.

Great store for any comic book or manga lover. They don't just sell vintage comic books, they sell shirts, figurines. There is no browsing since we are in pandemic but the staff are helpful and friendly. They can help pick out items for you. Would definitely return.

I used to be a regular customer in the 90's when they were Grey Region in Square One.Started getting back into comics and came in a few months ago to grab some TPB's and the staff were great!Came in today and Phil was running the shop. He was very helpful ordering some TPB's I was looking for. I commented on how hard it was getting back into some of my favorite comics and he handed over his last sets of previews from the publishers, told me those would be helpful.Service is as good as it was 30 years ago,!!

Overpriced garbage store. I am genuinely surprised this store hadn't closed down sooner. Owner didn't even bother notifying us, I found out today while trying to visit to pick up my books.

Hi, I think this is the best comic store ever :D cause I like the orgainization of comics, the tv where it streams movies and anime, the buy 1 get 1 half price is very excellent , I love the rare old marvel and dc comics, the owner is a great guy who's fair, I just love the place makes me feel at home. Anyone is disappointed is only because the prices on some rare comics can be a little expensive sometimes. It be cool if there was a Pac-Man arcade machine or a Candy section like the one they have at Gotham Central Comics. I also wish it would also sell MANGA like Berserk or Vagabond (I recommand you read both manga, its good and art amazing) ps: make the $2 comics bin and make it $1 comics ;( edit: RIP Planet Hobby NYoooo ;(((
