Casse-Croute Chez Gaston
Came here and ordered the small sized Poutine Gaston. It came with a chopped up smash burger, hot dog, and grilled onions mixed in. This was a heavy poutine that was also delicious. The small was definitely enough for one person and satisfying. The staff were also friendly, and the location itself is your usual small greasy spoon. Definitely interested in coming back to try a burger and more poutine.

It's the best Poutine I've ever had out of Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver. The Gaston is jam packed with beef, sausage, gravy and cheese. It has an old school diner feel to the restaurant. It's really damn cool. A must stop if you visit Québec city. It's my second time trying this in Québec city. Thanks for the friendly service. The Poutine Gaston is 12 bucks plus tax and it's worth every penny.

Absolutely perfect poutine, delicious sandwiches, a range of delicious, quickly prepared meals, great friendly service and a central location make Casse-Croute Chez Gaston both a must-visit and an easy, excellent choice to visit over and over again. From a regular, no-frills poutine to an elaborately executed no-holds barred Sylton, exceptional grilled cheese, chopped steak and burgers, and fries to absolutely die for - seriously - you can’t go wrong. It’s modest store front belies a richness and depth of selection and flavours that will blow you away - a must-visit!

We had a medium sized Poutine Italian. It was absolutely delicious, and big enough to feed two.Its a really small restaurant that can easily be missed. From the outside it doesn't look like much, but it definitely is worth going inside. There are 2 Tables for 4 people each, and 4 seats at the Bar.I highly recommend trying the Poutine, its a good price for good amount of food.The service was quick and very friendly

Stopped in for poutine based on Google reviews, and we weren't disappointed. Unpretentious, friendly service, delicious food. Off the beaten path so not fill of tourists. There are two high tables with stools that seat 4 each, plus two spots to sit and eat at the counter.The second largest poutine was enough for two to share and came with lots of delicious squeaky cheese curds and gravy.I tried the St-Roch burger and it was also great. Juicy beef patty with spicy sauce and fresh lettuce and tomato. I think the Brie melted too quickly for me to see it.

A simple place with a simple, unpretentious, totally delicious poutine. There was no fancy menu, just a couple of varieties that tasted amazing The place has 2 tables and a few chairs, you can sit along the counter as well. Highly recommended

My last meal in Quebec City before flying back to Toronto had to be poutine (of course). This place was close to my hotel and fortunately did not disappoint.Squeaky cheese curds and addictive gravy. Their fries are a little burnt, but that’s their style and I don’t mind it as it adds an extra dimension to the dish (as noted in an earlier review, some don’t like their fries this way).Pictured is the “Gaston” which has onions, ground beef, and hot dog slices in it. If you don’t want protein, stick with the original or with onions only. Small place so takeout is a good option as it could get crowded inside. Courteous staff. Fair prices. What’s not to like? Bon appetit!

fresh thick fries, nice gravy, squeaky cheese, open til the wee hours — fork yeah! tried the original poutine, sylton poutine (sausage = hot dogs) and burger st roch. they were all fantastic. def worth the trip to come here. it’s a small place- maybe about 4 lil tables and some counter seats. the medium size poutine is big enough for 2ppl. service was fast and friendly.
