Great central location for probation offices, above the Alberta Works offices

This society runs the general visitation center. The visitation center is supposed to be open til 9pm. But no one answers the phone by 8:45pm and yet the phone rings and rings...with no busy tone?! They also make up rules as they go stating it's a general thing?! And when you ask where it is written they can't find it for 15 minutes and it's in small print for themselves?! The staff is trained like robots and when you make your first visit...nothing is explained or or in writing. It's a joke...if this society is so for women..why do they not care about how easy it is yo access drugs in the jails...or how you will never be able to be face to face...how about a backlogged system has women in jail for weeks without having a bail hearing..what a joke this society is....

This is a great resource for women. The ladies here are trained to help you find work amongst other things. I also felt validated by telling my story. Not judged.

I have never been more sorry for society than I am today. Today I brought my daughter in. I booked her appointment. I spoke with the ladies that work here. Today I show up at 1pm when your receptionist opened the door and seen a male standing there with his wife and daughter I was immediately told to leave as this was a safe space for women. No where does it say this. Not once was I told this on the phone and to assume because I am male that I all of a sudden do not make it a safe place is disgusting. The example set for my daughter who it took 19th months to realize that she was ready for some help and the first thing this young lady sees is her father who has stood up for her and helped her through her struggles get treated like I'm some sort of predator. The example you should be setting is a smile on your face when that door opens because a first impression is everything. It could have been handled a lot better in my opinion and I will say, the safe space you are creating should not be teaching young women that all man are unsafe.

I called in to ask for help for me and my 2 children for Christmas... left a voicemail and continued to call for 3 days and never got an answer nor did I get a call back. Very disappointed in the fact that they couldn't even have the decency to call me back and tell me no. They just ignored me like trash.

Well the women who work there are wonderful and respectful the women who want help n don't get jugde for the life they chosen

Amazing place! They are so nice there and treat you with respect. Lovely people working there

Has great resources such as 10 bus tickets a month, hygiene packages (not travel size but actual shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, toothbrush, they have housing programs, free clothing on certain days call and find out ahead of time, finical literacy program, record suspension program, beading workshops, ribbon skirt workshops. Lots of useful resources not just 211 papers.

Such a great empowering organization!If you ever need help as a woman this is the place to go!
