G.A.M Shoes & Repair

Kept telling me she will glue my boots but no guarantee it will work. Not very encouraging. But had no problem quoting me $20 for each boot plus another $28 for a special service they will have to do. All that needed to be done is some glue to be applied to the soles. The bottoms were beginning to separate. $68 in total. I opted out. Took my boots to Champlain heights mall, there is a small mom and pops shoe repair there. Had them repaired for just $10.50 . No talk of special treatment that needed to be done or that it was some sort of a difficult job. He looked at them, said just needs glue and that was it. Didn’t say he couldn’t do it or that there was no guarantee of work etc.none-sense. much much better service.

I would highly recommend getting your shoes repaired here. Phoebe has done an amazing job on all my high heeled shoes! Not only is she super skilled, she is very sweet and kind too~Now I will be able to preserve my shoes for a long time thanks to her incredibly skilled hands:) I will continue to bring all my shoes here and I will definitely recommend them to all my friends and family!Thanks for all your hard work Phoebe:)

Went there on March 15 2023 and confirmed with the owner that they can repair the belt. Went there the next morning and a old lady with gray hair told me that they don’t repair belt. And for boots, glue only but no guarantee. Really awful attitude. Don’t go inside if you see the old lady with gray hair. The owner is nice.

I brought one of my favorite leather boots to this place just to replace some heelpieces, but master started to insist that needed to also add additional layer on the sole, and all work will cost me $70.It was really hard to know how much is just heelpieces replacement. He traded like in a bazaar for a long time, but finally said - $35!This price was a little surprising to me, because last time I did the same in another place for only $18.50, but I thought maybe price changed now.In four days I came back and was shocked. He ruined the leather-covered heels. On the heel surface there are several very visible damages from probably a knife or some other instruments he used.I will never go back to this place!Master is absolutely not professional.I should not have believed the high rating, because the quality of work is terrible.

The new VIBRAMS sole replacement for my boots, was performed very well (October 2022), and even though a section of the new sole cracked open after 4 months of walking (February 2023), she didn't hesitate to help me repair it again... at no extra charge. The store stands behind their products and craftsmanship. Turn around time was quick; only a few days. Very happy!

Went to Glue sole on some New Balance Walking Shoes and thought with the good reviews I'd get my Herman Survivor boots conditioned and Waterproofed and she ruined them. They were a beautiful tawny colour and now they're dark brown. She didn't say anything about the colour changing when I brought them in. Very disappointed.

You know that feeling where you find the perfect style of shoes and love them so much that they completely fall apart? And to make matters worse, the same style is no longer available anywhere because of course you bought them years and years ago. Well, I thought it was the end of the road for these stilettos but then I brought them in to G.A.M Shoe Repair to bring them back to life! The heel part had completely worn down to the point where you could see the metal poking out (my fault for not taking a *before* picture.).I called in advance and they were open on the Remembrance Day holiday (just shorter hours). The gentleman was super busy that day so he told me to come back on the following Monday to pick them up. When I arrived to pick them up I learned his name was Medi and he was super nice! He replaced the little part of the heel so now i can wear them to my work holiday party. Yay! Very happy with the repair and the price was very reasonable.He noticed I was wearing Blundstones and mentioned that Blundstones are actually also available at his store for the same price, but the benefit of buying through him is that you get $100 gift certificate to use for his services. Great deal and nice guy. Will be back cuz it turns out he also repairs bags! Great way to extend the life of the things we love :)

I can't say enough good things about G.A.M Shoes & Repair. I spent over $250 in 2019 buying a brand new pair of doc martens, and was disappointed when the leather started to tarnish and rip only 1.5 years later. Buying a new pair would now be over $280 with shipping fees. I took my shoes to G.A.M on a Friday afternoon and they were already ready and repaired by Wednesday! The owner was friendly, responsive, and did such a great job with them. He put a whole strip on both pair of shoes so they would cover future rips, and also polished the shoes very nicely when I wen to go pick them up.The whole ordeal only took $40! Super affordable, fast service, and great results. I highly recommend this place! :)

I've been meaning to buy Blundstones for a while now and chanced upon this store a while back while exploring Metrotown. They are tucked away near where Sears used to be. I finally gave in to my decision to buy Blundstones and came back to thisbl store. I was greeted warmly and any questions I had about the boots I wanted were answered thoughtfully. They also gave a free maintenance card for waterproofing, etc. of my boots.I will be back to have the soles of my Sorel boots fixed.Great service. Very friendly and helpful owner. Pay in debit if you can.
