Wow everything was deliciously amazing! The oysters were a bit small we ended up ordering another round. We had the famous Cesar salad which was a good addition to the steak. The tomahawk steak really hit the spot. The cut we had, had more fatty pieces. The medium rare was cooked to perfection. The dessert the 24k chocolate cake and the crème brûlée was amazing! Absolutely enjoyed the service

From the first minute I interacted with Al's. It was an amazing experience. I was in town for the night and wanted to have a really good steak before heading back home. I called to ask if they were taking walk-ins and the hostess said that the kitchen was about to close in 30 minutes. I asked if I'd be able to put my order in over the phone and eat inside the restaurant. They took my order attentively over the phone, and by the time I got there my meal was ready for me. Portion sizes are quite large, I had to bring the calamari back to Toronto lol. Steak was fresh, cooked perfectly. Mashed potatoes are really creamy and buttery and the salad was really delicious. I also had to try their coconut cream pie. It was piled high with delicious whipped cream and their dried coconut was different and delightful. I definitely will be back the next time I'm in Ottawa. I can tell why this place is an Ottawa staple and a mainstay and you have to visit. Also, shout out to Skylar. She was my server for the night and she was impeccable. You go girl!

Great classic steakhouse. Rib steak melts in your mouth and comes with delicious sides. Nice decor, a bit pricy but worth it. Only small downside was it’s super loud when the resto is full- tough to hear your own table’s conversation. Don’t come for a quiet dinner on peak dates or times! Free parking lot is a bit tricky although staff was there to help direct you to a spot. Would definitely return. Cocktails were unique and it all tasted amazing. Skyler our server was great.

We had a terrific dinner. Food (steaks, mashed potatoes, salads, fries and mussels) was very good and arrived piping hot to our table. Service was professional and friendly. We will be returning.

We went during the 2023 tulip festival. We ordered salads, fries, crab cake appetizer, porterhouse steak (medium rare), and creme brulee. The place was rather busy but we still had amazing service. The food was spectacular. If you get the porterhouse definitely share it or plan on taking it home.

Simply DELICIOUS!! beautiful, classy and friendly. The ambiance elegant. The waitresses were above and beyond with their welcoming smiles and greetings, knowledgeable with every single detail of the menu and fast responsive.The food is SINPLY THE BEST GRILLED MEAT HAD SO FAR IN OTTAWA! We got a Rib Eye 20oz. And a Filet Mignon. Both were spectacular. We parked at their own parking on a Saturday night. The outdoor was magical with the lights. But we sat indoor. Which was classy. There was a bar. The toilets were clean. There was a wheelchair accessibility.

Had the best Valentine's Day dinner here, the lamb chops were so delicious. The drinks were so creative and tasted so good also. They had great customer service, my waitress was amazing. I loved how they decorated for Valentine's Day too, that just made the atmosphere that much more special. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be visiting again soon.
