Friendly staff that know their product. The donuts we had were fresh, tasty, and just the right amount of sweetness

Ordered a Black Sesame Kouign Amann, Double Chocolate Kouign Amann and Injeolmi Cream Donut (highly recommended by the staff). The black sesame was our favourite! The pastry size was decent with a strong nutty flavour. The donut was moist and was a flavour we aren't used to in soybean/sweet rice, but was enjoyable. I actually really like the location, as it's steps away from Royal Oak skytrain station. However, there is no seating so it's just a grab and go location right now. They also sell select hot/cold savoury items.

Impressive bakery selection at 200 pm. Had a sample of kimche fried rice, had good flavor and enough heat for me. Another day I'll try beverages.

Cute and popular cafe near Metrotown! The ambience is really pretty, food is average, but the cakes are delicious! It’s a favourite spot so you may have to wait for a table!

Cute grab-and-go location for La Foret. It’s in an industrial area so pleasant surprise to see this place. They sell kouign aman which isn’t available at their main location. Servers were nice and friendly and the interior is beautiful. A few seats indoor and some patio tables would be a wonderful addition.

I love the original La Forêt but have been disappointed by this one. The store itself is nice and in a convenient spot right by the skytrain station.The drinks are the same quality as the other location, but I didn't find their donuts or kouign amanns up to par. The donuts have a pretty good taste and are fairly soft, but are not as light and airy as I would want. The kouign amanns also tasted okay, but had so little filling.

This is a really unique location with a grab and go style which is perfect for on your way to work or on your way downtown at the train. They really high quality, good tasting coffee which is hard to find in the area besides a select few, and some delicious, easy to carry & eat pastries. The honey croissant is light and just sweet enough for a coffee pastry combo, and the salted caramel donut is fluffy and has plenty filling, almost too much filling for my taste but I loved it none the less. With a cappuccino! Everything was absolutely delicious and a great start to my day.

Too bad. I thought I never have to go to Mello again. Sadly the donuts and croissants still have a lot to improve. Firstly, all the donuts’ filling were not enough. The croissant’s filling was also not generous. Two bites and all the filling is gone. Secondly, the donuts’ dough was not very soft, it was fluffy but not soft. The vanilla donut had pure custard, I wish they used diplomat cream instead. The strawberry yogurt donut is sour which some people prefer, but the filling is not smooth, not generous and looked curdled. The strawberry cream croissant had fresh cream but the cream barely held its shape, the whipping cream was like liquid. Maybe the croissant was too hot when they piped in the cream. The Cronut (round shaped croissant with filling) is BARELY filled with buttercream, and the crispy dough is too salty. The buttercream is good but way too less. The filling in the cronuts are so poor it made me extremely disappointed considering the outside made it look like it was filled to the brim.Staff are super friendly.

I personally love the location. It truly makes it feel like a special hideaway. And when you bite into one of the donuts (salted caramel) you are hooked. Oozing with cream and not too sweet. Coffee is super good as well.

The Missus and I entered La Foret near their closing time. Selection was limited but we purchased a croissant and a donut. Both were very fresh and delicious. They were priced a little higher than what we normally would pay but the bakery items exuded higher quality. The two servers were very nice and took the time to explain the differences in their bakery products. We will be back to try their other menu items.
