I normally love this pharmacy as it is always a great environment with great customer service. My family is in town quite a bit as we own one of the stores on the Main Street. We have had great experiences and customer service at Remedy RX, but this experience did not need to happen. I am willing to give another chance, but I hope this does not happen again. The last two times I have gone the older gentleman working at the pharmacy has been very rude, cold and dismissive. Today I had my sister go in for me to pick up my prescription as I was not able to. She was politely asking the older gentleman and questioning why the pills I was prescribed were not covered by OHIP as majority of these pills are covered by the government. I am a university student who does not have a lot of extra money to spend, I just wanted an explanation as to why they weren’t covered. The rudeness and the comments of “oh she is one of those people” (meaning she can’t afford to pay for her pills as she is dependant on the government funding) and “I don’t care what the practitioner said.” All I wanted was an explanation as to why the brand of pills weren’t covered. That is all. I was willing to pay for them, I just wasn’t expecting to have to pay because as I said before majority are covered and I have been on a different dosage/brand before which were covered. My sister left in tears because of the rudeness and inappropriate unnecessary comments by the older gentleman working. She did not need to experience this at all.
