Super 8 by Wyndham Sudbury ON

Been here before and loved it. This time, while the room was comfortable and the bed soft and comfy, what happened to weekend daily maid service? Towels were pretty thin too. There should be some sort of notice on the booking site. Front desk was helpful but didn't ask him where the staff went. It is just his job to work the desk. Not sure if all hotels run this way.

We stayed at this hotel to dodge a snow storm, and found it to be adequate for our needs. The property itself seemed well maintained, but the rooms were a little dated and in need of some upgrades to the bedding, towels and curtains. Breakfast, although sparse and lacking in protein or fruit, was enough to get us on the road the next morning. The staff were helpful and friendly. It was a little pricey, especially with the extra dog fee, but overall, about what you'd expect in a small Northern Ontario community. I'd stay again.

Honestly I would have rather slept in a tent. My husband and I travel all over the world and have stayed in many hotels some that were not great but clean so we were ok with that. This was booked online using Wyndham points , I’ve ever stayed at a hotel in Sudbury so honestly just assumed it’s a super 8 and we’ve never been disappointed before so it should be good. WOW. Floors not vacuumed (can deal with that) bed spread that everyone throws on the floor anyway SO VISIBLY dirty, and the lamp and clock don’t work . Husband pulls the couch out to see if they were plugged in and the outlit was smashed and prongs bent, #firehazard. The list honestly goes on and on. The front desk staff were amazing and tried to move us, now that’s a whole other list of errors. One “empty”Room was locked from the inside , the one across from us had same problem as mine with the plug not working. Alls I wanted to do was to sleep , and plug my phone in to charge and leave in the morning. At this hotel that’s almost impossible: 20 hour drive with minimal sleep for this . -1000

Well, I wasn't expecting the Ritz here and the rate was very cheap. Rooms were pretty clean, nothing fancy,..Leftover shampoo bottle and used soap left on the shelf in the shower. The shade on the lamp looked like it was dipped in coffee (stained). Such small things could have made the stay better and a better experience.The staff were very nice and friendly and helpful. I did not report either of these matters to management.

An ok hotel that was probably very good at one time. No protein or fruit in the breakfast. Scuffs and stains on walls. The bath tub did not work well for me no hand rails or hand holds a slip and fall lawsuit waiting to happen. And the current kept falling off. I expected better for the price I paid. Advertised as $85 but cost $130.00

Stayed here last night on a work trip and was impressed with how clean it was! I did read some reviews and was hesitant on booking, I believe they just renovated recently and we stayed in the newer rooms it definitely was a comfortable stay. The only complaint is the doors banging during the night it was pretty loud. Would stay again.

Affordable but dirty. The coffee maker had not been cleaned in a long time, it had dried coffee in the pot including grounds and was dusty and stained. The sugar and cream were empty on arrival, the bed spread on both beds had cigarette burns and one bed was stained, pillow was stained too. Bath tub had hair in it. It was pretty gross. We kindly asked the front desk to have our coffee pot cleaned and to get sugar etc, we were told they would but never came. My standards were not high, but this is bad.

I was staing in this hotel 7 days, From Monday June 12th till Sunday June 17th in room 221. During my stay just one time garbage was taken and towels were changed. No room cleaning no bed making. 2 times I asked front desk to clean my room, change towels and take garbage bags. Both time, receptionists politly promised to send housekeepers but when I came back after work, anything wasn't were done. Breakfast poor, no yogurt, mafin or eggs.

Stayed here after a long trip. Check in was fairly easy and quick front desk staff were awesome and friendly. Our biggest concerns was the rooms. We found the further back we went in the hotel the more it smelled like cigarettes. The room was fairly clean but because it smelled it felt dirty. The blankets had old cigarette burns and were tiny for the size of bed. Wifi also didn't want to work for us ( maybe we were to far back of hotel?).
