Aspira Villa Da Vinci Retirement Living

I moved my grandmother into the center in April 2020. She unfortunately passed away two months later due to long term health complications she had most of her life. This retirement residence was extremely accommodating to the ever changing health situation of my grandmother. Additionally I feel they protected their staff and residence extremely well during the height of the pandemic. My grandmother's only complaint during her short stay was that they fed her too much which is high praise from her. The care support staff from an independent source (not provided by the site but through the local LHIN) which assisted my grandmother who was on palliative care also made note to tell me this is one of the good retirement residences and that this was a great place to have her at. I have recommended and will continually recommend this location to all my friends, colleagues or acquaintances who may be looking to support their elderly loved ones.

The team at Villa Da Vinci are very passionate about the residents. It is so evident starting from their General Manager to the rest of the Management staff and team. This is an incredible residence - these people REALLY care.

My grandmother has been living here for 5 years and we have had a positive experience. The staff including Lina, have been wonderful and very accommodating to all of her needs. I would highly recommend this home to anyone transitioning into senior residences.

I would like to start out by sharing what a phenomenal job Villa da Vinci has done in response to Covid 19. The entire staff has been totally dedicated in keeping the safety of the residents as their top priority. I would like to give a personal and special shout out toAnne Murphy-LaradeGeneral Manager, Villa Da Vinci Retirement.She has sent an email every single night of her shift to inform and keep the family members up to date on the state of affairs at the home.I am grateful for the early response and actions that were taken such as eliminating the delivery of care packages as well as closing the dining room and physically distancing chairs in the lounge area. It has been tough for both the residents and their loved ones since it’s been practically three months without personal visits. The use of FaceTime and other social media platforms were implemented. Closely monitoring residents and reassuring them during these anxious and stressful times has helped.There are many more examples of Villa da Vinci’s efforts to reduce panic and illness during this unprecedented time that I have not mentioned. I believe that this (and of course a little bit of God’s good grace) has been a Major reason that we have not had a single case of Covid 19. The Home has been wonderful during the Covid-19 pandemic. The staff has done an amazing job protecting and taking care of the seniors. I want to thank Anne Murphy for all the work she has done keeping the residents family informed and up to date, and how well organized the home has been. I give the staff a 5 star rating but removed a star because the facility still is in need of some renovations. I'm hoping when the pandemic is over Villa Da Vinci will continue the renovations they started over a year ago. Thank you to all the staff at Villa Da Vinci!!!! could not have done it without you!!!!

My mother moved into Villa da Vinci just over three years ago, and in the past year, there has been a very noticeable and positive change at the Villa with the arrival of the General Manager, Lina. She is a very kind, caring, compassionate, dedicated and supportive individual who has enriched the lives of all the residents and their families with her vision and exceptional leadership. Lina and her team have brought back many Italian traditions to the Villa that were lacking in the past. It was wonderful to see my mother as well as the other residents enjoying themselves at the various activities, musical events and cultural celebrations. Unfortunately, with the pandemic, my mother slowed down, yet the staff were attentive and tried to engage her in these activities. It is also worth noting that the food/dining experience has improved greatly, and it is also refreshing to see the many renovations that have taken place. I would recommend the Villa to anyone looking for an Italian community-based retirement home for their loved ones.

Very nice people and staff. My father has been a resident for almost 2 years and it's so nice see him happy. He had a stroke years ago and is hard for him to communicate, they are very patient and take great care of him, a big shout out to Sandy, whohas gone out of her way to make sure his needs are always met. Can't put a.price on that kind of peace of mind.

My husband's aunt moved into this home in January and has seen a dramatic change for the better. She is happy and has an excellent engaging routine each day. She enjoys speaking to friends and going to the special events that are organized by the staff. She exercises daily and eats great food. She requires support from staff on a regular basis and they have been wonderful. Also, during this Covid-19 crisis, the communication has been outstanding. Families feel comfortable asking questions and are kept apprised of how the situation is evolving in the home. Thank you for your hard work throughout this difficult time.

Our dad has been at Villa Da Vinci Retirement Residence in Woodbridge throughout this challenging pandemic. Huge thanks and appreciation go out to the General Manager Lina Frijio and her entire staff- from Wellness to Kitchen, including activities and housekeeping staff- they all provide timely access to services, and consistently make the residents’ health and well-being their priority. Lina makes it her job to know the residents personally so they then feel comfortable reaching out to her! Kudos for a job well done!

My mother has been living at Villa for several years and would probably not be with us today if it wasn't for the great care she is getting. The crazy times we are in have thrown many challenges our way but the management there have dealt with them professionally and great communication! Well done...
