Service was really good here. I took off one star cuz the chicken wings were too salty and the crab cake had too much sauce underneath so it felt very heavy. The savoury donut balls on the other hand was a pleasant surprise, I really liked it.

I am amazed! We arrived at 6:20 and the restaurant was full. Good we made a reservation. Amazing service and very trendy yet elegant interior. We were very impressed to find that ALL indients are sourced locally and handmade locally. I love supporting local restaurants who support local producers and growers.Every dish was right on point and delicious. Their cocktails were really good as well.We ordered seaweed bignets, miso glazed sable fish collars, duck confit, lamb shoulder campanella, gnicchi, salt and vinegar potato chips, baked carrots, cheese burger, smoked salmon, sorbet and apple cake. My favourite of all was the seaweed Bignet, potato chips, gnocchi and smoked salmon.Everything was 10/10. Even the plates were all handmade locally. Thanks for great food and the service Brassica. I’ll come visit again soon.

We were blown away during our visit to Brassica restaurant, one of the best restaurants we’ve been to in a long time! There was an impressive attention to detail in every aspect, incredibly friendly staff and a creative and tasty menu.We had the Pink scallop Rockefeller, that came out on the shell on beds of something white to keep them warm longer. I love when restaurants care about keeping food hot or cold for longer! Then we had the cold salmon with dill. It was served with a deep fried potato bread and was very filling. The whole composition of this dish felt very Scandinavian to me (I’m Swedish) and tasted like home.We ordered the seaweed beignets as a side and they were also very good - and how creative to make beignets savory! We also tried the lamb pasta and it was also very, very good. I did find it a tad too salty for my taste, but my tastebuds might be overly sensitive since we reduced the amount of salt in our cooking at home due to baby.Their homemade ice cream for dessert is also amazing. So flavorful and with creative flavors! I tried the Spruce Tip flavor.Seriously take my advice and try whatever ice cream they have on the menu that makes you go “You can make ice cream out of THAT?!” and be prepared to be surprised!I wanna come back a hot summer day and just eat all the ice cream.Side note; The ice cream came out on a cold/frozen plate so it kept cold for longer - What an amazing attention to detail! At any other restaurant the ice cream would have melted away in minutes. We had French press coffee with our dessert and they didn’t even charge an arm and a leg for it like some other places do when you order an innocent little coffee. Also, we arrived with a baby in a stroller and here are some points that made it a perfect experience for us as parents. We decided to eat outdoors on the empty patio because we didn’t want to bother other guests in case baby got cranky (btw I think that’s the right thing to do if you bring a baby to a fine dining place where others go for special occasions etc). Heaters made it warm and toasty and they even offered us blankets!- There’s a ramp on the side meaning accessible access for wheels of all kinds- High-quality and safe baby high chairs (some other places have questionable ones).- We were offered a baby Ezpz silicone feeding mat/plate and spoon (I don’t recall this happening at any other restaurant and we’ve brought our baby to many).- Staff were super friendly and made our 10-month old feel seen.- Our super sweet waitress even offered to clean the feeding bib we brought with us. I respectfully declined because I don’t think that should be her job, but the fact she offered it was just so amazing. There’s a cool and calming Scandi feel to the interior in the restaurant, and also the noise level was low when we walked in. There are so many restaurants where the good food is ruined by a noisy ambience, but not here. All of this obviously warrants a glowing 5-star review. My only feedback for the restaurant would be to improve the wine menu for the options available by glass. A $17 glass of red wine should be good, and while I appreciate the want to keep everything local, unfortunately most BC wines are not all that great (by global comparison). If the person in charge reads this, please consider a wine-list overhaul, perhaps look into local Venturi-Schulze Vineyards on the island, they actually know how to make good wine.Needless to say we will hopefully be back again whenever we are in town next! What an absolute gem for Gibsons to have this place, I’ll be jealous over in Vancouver! Please go and support it.

Some might call this pasta dish “comfort food.” Like the “tempura” squash side, which was heavily breaded and also far too oily, I can only describe it as far too heavy for me. Space was beautiful and service was awesome.

We went to Brassica for lunch today, & it was such a delight especially with the dreary weather. The dishes incorporated vibrant colours, & a mix of taste & textures- all while maintaining culinary cohesiveness. The staff were cheery, pleasant & attentive. The marinated beetroot was so tender had a burst of flavour with each bite. The seaweed beignets were moist & were complimented well by the creamy dip. The time-limited ukoy (Filipino vegetable fritters) had a tasty crunch that paired well with the house-made spicy vinegar dip. The celeriac carpaccio is a must-try with its balance of sweet & savoury with its use of pear & miso, & textures from the pear, shiitake, & walnuts. My absolute favourite was the gnocchi with soft-poached egg. The creamy yolk perfectly engulfed the gnocchi as soon as you cut into it.I highly recommend Brassica for showcasing local & high quality ingredients, & a pleasant & engaging dining experience.

My friend and I went for Happy Hour and were blown away! The food was amazing, the happy hour selection had a bit for everyone, seafood, meat, veggie options. Most of the items are perfect for sharing, so you're able to try a bit of everything. We were greeted with big smiles and awesome energy. Our server, Paige was professional and personable; we'll definitely be back for their dinner service.Coming here is a MUST if you're even on the Sunshine Coast! Keep in mind that they are a seasonal restaurant, so menu items are constantly changing with the seasons.

What a stunning interior. Very comfortable, stylish, nice lighting, perfect volume for the music. Excellent service from start to finish. And the philosophy of cooking seasonal and local is wonderful. There is some incredible talent in the kitchen and a playfulness with flavours and ingredients. The tasting menu was very filling and a great bang for your buck. I feel the same way after this meal as I did after dining at the pop up this summer. The overall experience is wonderful. The food is super interesting but a bit heavy and heavy handed. I love sauces, but maybe everything doesn’t need a sauce. Paring back a little bit would make the menu sing. I really think they’re almost there.
