ECS Coffee Brewology - Ancaster

My husband and I took a Saturday road trip to check out an espresso machine that we were thinking of investing in. Rachel and Christine were friendly and attentive, without being too pushy or agressive. Rachel patiently answered all our questions and walked us through a few machines (including samples...delicious!). Despite the extensive selection, the model we were interested in was not on display but Christine told us it was available at their Burlington location. Exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. Could not be more impressed by the customer service and selection (Spolier ... We purchased a machine at the Burlington location!)

Poor service. Poor product support.I purchased a thermostat to repair my coffee machine. The part failed within a couple of weeks causing a thermal fuse to blow.I replaced the thermal fuse and shortly after the thermal fuse blew again. I tested the thermostat switch with heat and a digital thermometer and it was defective. ECS Coffee would not replace the part even though it was clearly defective.By the way, the part did not come in any kind of original packaging. ECS claims that they buy in bulk and ship out in whatever packaging they have lying around.Be warned that they do not stand behind their repair parts. Sadly, you are better off getting parts elsewhere. I would prefer to support Canadian suppliers but in this case if you need part don't use these guys. I found a replacement switch for $2.66 + $2.50 for express shipping form Ali Express versus $25 from ECS.As I said, I wanted to support Canadian suppliers but this is just a bridge too far to support.Oh and one final note. The email address they have on their sales invoice does not work. When I called them they said the email address hadn't been in use for years. No wonder they didn't answer the emails I sent them. So, very little concern for the customer.

Excellent service! Staff took their time and thoroughly demonstrated the machines we were interested in and made several drinks for us from both so we could taste the difference. They answered all questions patiently. One machine was substantially pricier than the other but we never once felt pressured by the staff to buy the more expensive one; instead their advice was to purchase the machine that made sense for us functionality wise. They were honest and transparent about everything they told us and did not try to push any product we didn't need. Ended up purchasing a new machine, accessory, coffee beans, syrup, and caramel sauce (for those yummy caramel macchiatos I intend to drink daily!!) We will be going back to ECS Coffee Ancaster for all of our coffee needs from now on. Thanks ECS Ancaster - you simply rock!!

Meh. Their personal brands are often out of stock, especially online. So being able to get what you want is challenging. I've had inconsistent product and when contacted, they needed me to bring it in for them to taste it LOL .....if it was easy for me to get there....I wouldn't be ordering online now would I?

I've been going here since it opened as a k cup store but over the years ECS has evolved to include competitively priced coffee and espresso machines as well as a nice selection of coffee from various origins. The staff has always be super friendly at this location and I would always recommend a visit if you are in the neighborhood. Sounds like a paid review but I just like the place lol

For years I've been searching for a great deal on K pods, and a couple years ago I happened to find ECS via Google search. Their huge selection and great prices, including regular sales, and free shipping promotion had quickly captured my business. I live in BC and I have been buying all my coffee from ECS for over two years now. Customer service has been excellent, and I've never been disappointed since my first order. Thank you ECS :-)

I knew nothing of the expresso-making craft and Preya took the time to indoctrinate me on the matter.Her enthusiasm, professionalism and easy-going approach made the experience very pleasant, informative and unforgettable. Her experience as a barista was invaluable in this task and it convinced me that I came to the right place.As the purchase was finalized, both Preya and Rachel were engaging in their conversation with me and they really conveyed that they care for what they do. It was refreshing to see and a very satisfactory brick-and-mortar retail experience.I am a business owner myself and must say that I would not hesitate to hire two employees like Preya and Rachel. They made a material difference that day in my purchasing decision and made me a new customer.

I absolutely love it!! It's always such a positive experience. Now that I live nearby, it will be the only place I purchase my K-Cups from going forward. It's a very unique store, the prices and selection are GREAT, and the staff are always very helpful and friendly. One of the very few remaining retail stores that still actually values it's customers and treats them accordingly... HIGHLY recommend!!
