Unable to use the website to pay a parking ticket. Called them and they've said the website has an issue and notified the right people and asked me to try again in 1 hour. Still didn't work, nor the next days. In the meantime, the price was increased and I'm still unable to pay.

I was made to feel like a criminal over a parking infraction. I parked in health services parking outside of Renison and was ticketed and towed. I paid the tow fee which I accept as there was a warning on the sign, however, what happened after was unexpected.I was then told that I had to go speak to the associate director about my infraction. I called parking services to settle the matter and was told that it could not be discussed over the phone. I told them that I could not make it in and asked if we could schedule the meeting for a later date. They told me that I couldn’t reschedule and that I had to come in before 4pm that day. So I cancelled the appointment I had to go to and drove over.When I got there the associate director proceeded to lecture and threaten me. She felt that it was necessary to not only humiliate me but to patronize me. I was warned that my infraction could effect my license and that she could call the Dean to discuss the matter. She also proclaimed that parking is not a right at the university, it is a “privilege”.This was extremely unprofessional. If there is a consequence for my action than please do proceed to take appropriate action. Do not tell me to come into the office so that you can list all the “possible” things that you could do to me.I spoke to a faculty member at Renison regarding the associate directors threat to call the Dean and was told that a parking infraction doesn’t affect my academic record whatsoever as long as I pay my ticket.Please note that as a university student I pay thousands of dollars in tuition fees every year. I expect to be treated like a student not as a criminal over a parking infraction.

Machines on campus do not work, consistent error messages about how they ‘can’t process payment’ and then you get a parking ticket that costs 5x the price of a daily ticket.Scam.

Will give you a pass for lots that are full. Will ticket you even if your parked in the correct area, and then say there's nothing they can do. They are the most terrible and ignorant parking enforcement I have ever witnessed.

These people have no sympathy or humanity. I understand they deal with a lot of students and potentially students who may be rude or trying to pull a fast one on them. But honestly, every single interaction I have had with UW Parking services has been rude and assumptive. They act like every single person who enters them is some robot or criminal who does not matter. And also, get a parking ticket machine for J lot, I looked everywhere for one and I couldnt find it, and I was in a rush to get back to my job so I couldnt waste time. Few hours later, lo and behold I have a ticket. Ticket is understandable but at least put a sign saying the ticketing machine was 2 parking lots down or add a new one to J lot!

Ticketed me twice in a row when my paid ticked flipped over on my car dash due to windy conditions (possibly when closing my driver door). When I went to contest the one parking ticket I found on my car (as I had purchased a ticket, it just wasn't showing right side up) I found out I had two tickets, barely hours apart for the same thing. I only saw one ticket under my wipers. First one must have blown away. Ticketed twice for the exact same thing. Parking services refused to wave the second ticket as they were given by different parking attendants. So I ended up being ticketed twice for failure to show my parking pass, even though the first ticket probably blew away in the wind. Very unhelpful, argumentative and unwilling to listen when it was clear they made a mistake and I had purchased a ticket time stamped hours before the first ticket.UPDATE: I did petition the double charges as I purchased a ticket to begin with but the panel didn't seem to care. They insisted on charging me twice even though I had purchased a ticket and it was properly date stamped for proof of purchase. Highly unimpressed with the way this parking service is run. Charging students who are already paying for parking, and ticketing them even when they adhere to the rules. Refusing to refund tickets even when they are at fault.

It is definitely not a big problem for you to check my permit from my plate number through your portable machine. Why did you still ticket me twice in a month just because I accidentally partially covered my parking permit under windshield. I was believing your service is to bring convenience to us, not to look for opportunities of making profit.

UW's Parking Services is a total disrespect to all of the UW's students. I paid for a slot in the DC parking a few minutes before my arrival cause I was in a rush. I came and I saw it was full. Their app sells a slot to different people! It does not even check if a parking is full or not! I had to park in another slot and I definitely did not pay again. I got ticketed for 15$!

I live in graduate housing and have to park my truck in the neighbourhood parking lot, so I get a parking pass every semester. Although I suppose it's reasonable that this pass is only valid for the housing complex and not the rest of the Waterloo campus, UW Parking Services does not allow you to buy a separate pass to park in any of the campus lots, whether you're willing to pay or not. I think you should be able to buy multiple passes if you have the willingness to pay.Having said that, the staff is very polite and friendly. They void your first ticket as a courtesy, which is classy, and on the question of other tickets they are willing to negotiate the price down if you can explain the extenuating circumstances behind how you got them.Overall, the system isn't perfect, but it works.
