If I could give them zero stars, I honestly would. This is the worst vet experience I had in my life. Everything is disorganized. The staff has no idea how to help. The doctor doesn't explain anything and always make you feel like you are wasting his time. Don't even try to ask him why he recommends a treatment, he will most likely just be mean to you. They do annual exams every time they get a chance just to charge you extra. We had one in February and one in April when we only went for vaccines. Speaking of which, the vet never told us which vaccines our dog was getting even if I tried to ask. She just needed" them. When I did ask for specific vaccines

I have been bringing my cat Wilson here for 5 years. In all this time, I have never been disappointed and can confidently say that Dr. Banon and Dr. Desjardins are both passionate about the health of their patients. They take the time to answer any questions I might have (I have many) and if for whatever reason they need to rush to another appointment, their veterinary technicians are equally as wonderful and attentive. I recently had to bring Wilson in for dental scaling. He unfortunately is prone to dental issues, so he required the surgery. I walked away paying a bill that is relative to a surgery. I was also recommended tests for my cat’s safety – which I agreed to as a precaution. At the end of the day, I am seeing comments about this clinic being money-driven – this has never been my experience here. Pet ownership requires a range of responsibilities, one of them being a monetary responsibility that can add up over time. It upsets me to read these negative reviews about this clinic, because I truly trust them wholeheartedly with the health and well-being of my pet.

Caring, knowledgeable and all round wonderful staff!I had a very poorly 13 week old kitten with a very sick tummy. They were able to see us as an emergency and treated my furbaby, Chekov, with love and dignity. They were very good at communicating all the requirements for medications and took the time to show us how to administer it correctly rather than shove us out the door with a bunch of instructions.Chekov is already looking and feeling much better and is ready to infiltrate the yarn store! thank you all for taking such good care of him!

taking advantage of clients... literallyguys please dont bring your pets there if you love them!! This amount of 1 star review should ring some bells to potential new customers. Please don't go thereThey were telling me I need to space out vaccinations in 3 appointments when I only had to do 2 appointments in the past for my other cats.Im finally pulling out all my pets from that clinic, I was only going there because it was so close to me.

It's been a pretty tough couple of months for our little fella, but dr. Banon and the entire Hopital Veterinaire General MB crew were there to take amazing care of him and support us every step of the way.We were incredibly lucky to get to this clinique back in August and I think we wouldn't have made it without your help, guys. At some point, it felt that this is a bit too much and we were about to give up, but you helped us get through this and Basyan is healthy and lively again! Thank you very much for this!!!P.S: We'll get back for Basyan's dental care sometime next year :)What we liked the most: clear instructions, straightforward explanations; thoughtful and caring approach of the entire team. What we liked the least: Nothing comes to mind!

This is my new veterinarian. Maybe things changed with covid but I found a bit weird not letting the owner come to the consultation room with their pet. I had to insist and finally got in. To be fair the place is small so there is not much space in the consultation room. That makes it so they have to go in and out the room often to get supplies and what not (another reason for me to want to be in the room, to prevent my cat from destroying the place while she's alone in there). Appointments do not happen on time, usually it takes an hour, so another down side. But, the vet was amazing with my cat, very gentle and professional and the staff is always very helpful and polite. I saw many reviews about bad billing situations. I honestly think it comes from having the owner waiting outside, kind of in the dark on what happens in the examination room. I personally have had no billing problems so far. I get the bill with the full breakdown of expenses and and an explanation of it if needed. I get follow up calls after the appointments to check on the state of my cat. I also get courtesy reminder calls before the appointments to confirm. They even advanced an appointment when they had a cancelation. Customer service is on point. I think the place is worth giving a try for sure!

Frustrating Experience at a Pet Hospital: Poor Communication, Financial Loss, and Non-existent SurgeryI recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at a local pet hospital. The staff failed to provide crucial information regarding the 12-hour fasting requirement for my pet, resulting in unnecessary complications. Additionally, I lost $287.4 in advance payments, and I was informed that an additional $287.4 would be required to reschedule my pet's sterilization procedure. However, to my astonishment, my pet never underwent the surgery. This incident has left me feeling infuriated, and I feel compelled to share my experience with a tone of frustration.Poor Communication and Negligence:Upon arriving at the pet hospital, I expected clear instructions regarding the pre-procedure fasting requirements. However, I was surprised to find that the staff failed to inform me about the essential 12-hour fasting period for my pet. This lack of communication led to unnecessary suffering for both my pet and myself, and it resulted in complications during a surgery that never actually took place. The poor communication and negligence displayed by the staff are highly unacceptable.Financial Loss and Inconvenience:Not only did the hospital's lack of communication and negligence cause harm to my pet, but it also resulted in significant financial loss. The upfront payment of $287.4 that I made appeared to be wasted due to mishandling by the staff. Furthermore, I was informed of the need for an additional payment of $287.4 to reschedule my pet's sterilization procedure. However, it is outrageous that these charges were imposed for a surgery that never occurred.Lack of Accountability:To make matters worse, the staff showed a complete lack of accountability for their actions. When I expressed my concerns and disappointment, they displayed indifference and refused to apologize. Their disregard for my pet's well-being and their unwillingness to take responsibility for their mistakes further intensified my dissatisfaction with the hospital's professionalism.Seeking Resolution:As a pet owner, I believe it is crucial for veterinary professionals to prioritize clear communication, accountability, and transparency in their services. Given this experience, I intend to escalate the matter to the hospital's management and demand a refund for the wasted payment. Additionally, I will seek clarification regarding the additional fees charged for a surgery that never took place. It is my hope that by sharing my experience, other pet owners can be more vigilant and hold veterinary establishments accountable for their actions, ensuring the well-being of their beloved companions. Conclusion:My recent encounter at this pet hospital has been nothing short of infuriating. The poor communication, resulting in unnecessary complications and a surgery that never occurred, coupled with the financial losses incurred and the lack of accountability by the staff, has left me deeply dissatisfied. It is my hope that this experience serves as a reminder for veterinary professionals to prioritize their responsibilities and deliver quality care to their patients and their owners.

I am editing my review having just left after Dr. Banon assisted my beautiful, beautiful boy in crossing the rainbow bridge. His empathy, compassion, and his clear love and affection for my beautiful dog are matched only by his professionalism, knowledge, and the kindness and expertise of his entire staff. As soon as it became evident that Loki was suffering from something terminal, Dr. Banon could have exploited my desperation and love for my dog and suggested unnecessary tests and procedures. He did not. Instead, he provided the tests I requested, the right medication, and a referral for a specialist. When it became clear that additional measures would be palliative and only prolong suffering, I brought Loki back to Dr. Banon because I could think of nobody more qualified or more caring to care for my sweet boy in his final moments. While I would like to pray that nobody should ever have to experience this, I know that it is inevitable and I can't recommend a better vet or clinic to care for you and your pet.I would trust Dr. Banon and his staff with my life. Loki loved and trusted him, and that's recommendation enough. Future dogs that I have will go to this clinic for as long as it is open.Thank you, Dr. Banon, and thank you to the entire staff.

I like the staff here a lot, but have never had a positive experience with Dr. Banon. I find him to be smug and condescending, and always running very late, even when the clinic is not otherwise busy. I regularly spend 2-3 hours at the clinic for even simple appointments, and I always leave upset after how he speaks to me. It sucks because the location of the clinic is very convenient, but I will be going elsewhere to find a vet who treats their clients (& their time) with more respect.

Staff is super friendly and polite. Totally the opposite to the Doctor. He was more worried about jumping onto the next patient rather than taking time to answer my questions. I was just asking questions, not questioning HIM. The vet reacted defensive and comes across as condescending. I didn’t feel comfortable to even keep on talking to him. I have never met a Vet with such a low emotional intelligence. It was an interesting contrast as the rest of the staff is incredibly polite and you can see they are trying to help.I will look for a better place. Don’t even know why I would come back here.Price? Similar to other places. Place? It’s really a NO FRILLS animal hospital. People? Unless you like being talked down by the Vet. Service? I’m sure other vets in Montreal are as competent as this doctor and most probably service comes with a little less attitude. To speak the truth, my dogs got their vaccinations up to date. It was done on timely matters and now my dogs are just resting (which is normal after they get shots). Really what was missing was the human touch and allocating your customers the time needed. And it was so uncomfortable that I cannot recommend this place.DO NOT RECOMMEND.
