Do not visit this business or the new store he opened!!! This man is a fraud! He does not pay the people he hires to do work for him! He hasn’t paid contractors in months! He steals the cheques and leaves labourers with nothing! Legal action is being taken but please don’t trust a man like Fred with your needs!

Just a short note to thank Fred for the exceptional job your installer did yesterday with our new carpet. The installation is the best we have experienced. With our previous carpet (bought from a big box store) there was a line where the landing and family room carpets joined. The new installation shows no indication of a join anywhere.Your installers were polite, courteous, and diligent (the entire job was completed within 5 hours). They thoroughly vacuumed, and generally cleaned up at the end of the job.The carpet is fantastic, and the underpad is truly premium. Wonderful.If anyone asks where we got our new carpet, we’ll happily refer them to Fred and Ontario Carpet.

Recently had an entire house recarpeted in preparation for sale and this huge job was made easy and pleasant by Fred. Very respectful and professional with a can do" attitude start to finish. Highly recommended."

A big thank you to Dave and Fred owners of Ontario Carpet Mississauga for their service, excellent carpet choices, price and all around great experience. From the minute I walked into their showroom, to Fred coming out and measuring, great chats with Dave and Sam, and then their wonderful carpet fitters, my fitted carpets are in and looks fabulous. The fitters were courteous, experienced, moved things (and put them back) tidied up and it was not stressful at all, they were great. Better still this is a Canadian Company (family owned) and I felt like one of the family.

Fred is a thief. He hired me for some renovations, took the cheque and blocked my number. I’ve been trying to reach him to get paid but he is avoiding me. Don’t trust him or his business because he is not a truthful Man. You don’t hire workers just to leave them hanging without pay. Especially not in this economy!

We purchased our new carpet through Fred at Ontario Carpet and it was a positive experience from start to finish. Great price, fantastic quality and a thick underpad that has made our new carpet feel so luxurious. Fred is very knowledgeable of his products. Installation worked around our schedule and they were efficient and professional. A great experience overall.

Poor handling of work deficiencies. Our initial dealings with Fred were pleasant. The installation we received was unprofessional and all attempts to rectify the issue with Fred for several months proved fruitless. We basically got a very charismatic runaround.The installer arrived hours too late, wasting my time as well as I had to rendezvous with him from another city at a specific time. He was also alone, when he should have had a helper in order to finish during daylight hours. His English was almost indiscernible making the most basic questions almost impossible to explain or understand. My evening was also ruined because he worked so late. He rushed through this.I’m a contractor myself and know it when I see it. Asking him things only aggravated him, because he wanted to get going. Because he wasn’t prepared.He ruined the transitions as if he’d never done it before as can be seen in pics.(I’ve done one in my lifetime and it looks completely fine)He left old pre-existing nail strips right in high traffic areas saying “it’s fine” despite my concerns. (Yes you can feel them. Like a meter stick under the carpet) He left the entire house a disastrous mess of carpet shavings and remnants. I had to empty our vacuum three times to clean it all up.Finally, he (or someone) had charged our card for the final invoice before I was even aware he was finished. I hadn’t even had time to do a quick inspection first. (More red flags) And again, when I tried to ask about this while he’s sitting in my driveway with his van in reverse, we could hardly understand one another, and his entire body language and demeanour screamed he couldn’t care less, wanted me to bug off and let him go. It was a very sketchy and uncomfortable departure, like some back alley dealings. It left my wife and I feeling very disappointed in the end.

We just got our carpet installed, and it looks great! They had a great selection of carpet a no pressure quoting and sales process. From start to finish everything was done in about month!
