Bonaparte continues to deliver some superb French food and superb service. I took some of their classic dishes during this meal, and they were great, but play close attention to their daily menu as well (worth a try).

Simply excellent French cuisine. I had the terrine which was perfectly executed, exactly the right texture. The lambchops were amazing, demi and veggies were perfect. Dessert was a little lack luster but we didn't try the souffles which looked amazing. Highly recommend for an accessible foray into French dining.

Traditional French cuisine in old Town but close to downtown. Decor is elegant with crystal chandeliers and faux fireplace. Restaurant has bar and is part of a hotel on a cobble stone lined street. Service is excellent both at bar and at table with a few friendly staff are always nearby to assist. Food was well prepared and plated in a clean and organized style with no overwhelming spaces or other foods overtaking one another. All our soups, salads and mainsl dishes were given high marks. They have a good wine selection with many French varieties taking promenance. Reservations are highly recommended as this is frequented by locals and many visitors as well.

What a great night we spent at Bonaparte!Love the romantic and classy atmosphere. The service was excellent!! Overall the food was tasty and flavorful. The foie gras and its crème brûlée is a must-try! So delicious! The beef tartare and the duck breast were good too. I would definitely come back for the old fashioned drink. The added orange confite is just game-changing, very interesting taste to the palate.

I had my birthday dinner at Bonaparte Montreal and it was absolutely perfect. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly throughout the evening. The starters were very good. I ordered the fillet mignon, and it was simply delicious. My husband tried the catch of the day, which was the arctic char, and he enjoyed it very much. The romantic ambiance of the restaurant made for a truly sweet and memorable dining experience.The creme brûlée was absolutely tasty. It was one of the best birthday dinners I've had, and I would highly recommend Bonaparte Montreal.

The food and service here were phenomenal! The 6 course dinner was delicious and my server explained each dish. I paired some wine with my dinner which was excellent. I plan to go back and enjoy it again!

This restaurant has been on my list forever. We finally got to try it yesterdayHostess was very welcoming as soon as we got into the restaurant. We were seated on the spot. Cute little menu, they have 2 options the tasting menu and the a la carte. We opted for the a la carte. We each got a soup, the soup of the day and the lobster bisque, both very good but very filling soups. We were afraid we weren't going to be able to eat the other plates we got on the menu.We also ordered the lamb shank, the mushroom ravioli and the scallops.The lamb shank, the meat was so tender and perfect pairing with the glaze.The mushroom ravioli wad to die for.But nothing to special about the scallops, we taught it lacked abit of flavourWe didnt get to try the dessert menu because we had to be somewhere else.Didn't get to finish everything but they packed our food in these little container with a bag, which I found was a nice touch.Overall a very good experience, when you walk in there's this gorgeous open bar area, the place itself is very nice, even the bathrooms had a cute design with a nice chandeliersWaiter was nice but not the friendliest we have had, bus boys were on top with filling up our water and all and asking if everything was to our liking.The only negative part about our experience was that it was not really easy to reach our waiter when we were done and wanted to get the bill, especially that we had other arrangements right afterOther then that definitely a restaurant to try in the old port, we will definitely come back to try other plates on the menu as well as dessert.

Beautiful restaurant with a cozy and romantic atmosphere, we were tucked in by a window so a great table where we felt like we were in our own little world. We both had the tasting menu (without wine pairing). Great value for the food, we both left feeling full and we enjoyed every single course. Between the two of us we covered most items on the menu, and there was nothing that is worthy of a complaint. My favorite items were the mushroom ravioli and of course the filet mignon, cooked to perfection! Our service was also amazing. Really have no complaints other than I could maybe see it being a little more crowded/less peaceful if we had got a different table, but, no more than any other downtown restaurant! All in all a wonderful experience and I can't wait to go back!

One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Everything I ate had an explosion of flavours. The service was beyond exceptional. The chefs at this restaurant are passionate about food, and you can easily tell while eating each bite
