Ten Ren's Tea

I just came from this location, never ever would I go back. When I arrived, the staff member was wearing gloves and texting on his phone. I asked him nicely if he could change his gloves. He took them off, and just started making the drinks without gloves. I told him he could put on another pair. He rudely told me there were no more gloves and that they recycled the one pair. Is this their policy? I’m so curious to know, because this is definitely unhygienic. He also responded, “ What? You think I’m just going to get new gloves Just to make you one drink ?” Firstly I ordered two, secondly I was shocked. So was the person I was on the phone with. I said, “I expect you to change your gloves if you’re using the same glove you used on your cell phone, to make my drinks.” For all I know he could be one of those ppl who takes his phone to the washroom with him. For all I know, he doesn’t wash his hands after either. He was extremely rude, so I asked back for my money. I also asked who the manager was and he said he was. I cannot believe a manager could be so rude to a customer that was just asking for a change of gloves. That’s not unheard of at a time like this. Extremely unhygienic. Since this location recycles one pair of of gloves, I caution you all to be careful. Gross.

My wife goes here and she says the new staff here are nice, friendly and very accommodating to her preferences. I also really like the way they make the tapioca here, it's not too sweet like others and has the perfect texture. Great quality tea as well.

Today I notice they purposely taped out the confirm button/no tip on the debit machine. When it took me to the tip option, I had a few option for amount to tip but no option to pick “no tip“ (taped out). Luckily there was custom tip. Obviously I put $0 tip. You can’t force people to tip. Horrible business practice. Also the lady who took my order and made my drink made me repeat my order a few times because she had her headphone. Please take off your headphones when you’re taking orders. If you want better customer service and quality, head to urban cova. 2 star instead of 1 because I usually have better customer service when the male employee is there.So beware when you come here. If you don’t want to tip, go to custom and put in 0 and just press the taped off button to confirm.

Very friendly staff, very tasty tea, 100% approved by moi

I got a slush today from them and the machine was not working properly so I went to the cashier to order. When the guy pass me the machine the tip was displayed automatically, they had the audacity to block with duck tape the bottom part of the machine where the “skip” option is displayed. Tipping is and will always be optional, why am I being forced to tip if they are getting paid literally to do their job. Is this even legal?

Rainbow and Jerry are the best employees. They make the best tea. Always attentive and efficient. Visits are not the same when they are not present. They keep the line moving. Unfortunately prices are very high for basic tea in comparison to competitors.

The store is in the mall but located in a separate area from the food court. The service was very quick and easy. Similar to other reviews there was only one person to take orders and make drinks - however it wasn't an issue for me since I was the only person there at the time. That said, I can't understand complaints about waiting time if it was busier. I find that Ten Ren's is one of the pricier bubble tea places but the drink I ordered was enjoyable. I'd say this bubble tea place is one of the better choices within the mall itself but I've had better drinks at a cheaper price elsewhere.

Tea is good as usual. Store is recently renovated and now offers seats for customers.

Excellent service from the young gentleman who worked Sunday July 2nd at Fairview Mall. He served me even though the mall wasn't exactly opened yet and gave me suggestions on what items were ready. Thanks for a great experience on the long weekend!
