I’ve been in the trucking industry for 15 years, and as a female driver, there is no other company that has done as great of a job as SBS in terms of equity. If you’re a new female driver or immigrant that’s looking to start a career at a supportive and reputable trucking company, SBS is the company for you. The company has extremely dangerous drivers. This morning going south on Ninth Line between Eglinton Ave and Dundas, I had a terrible experience with the driver driving trailer number 2309 between 7:46 am and 7:51 am. He was driving at 80 km/hr in 60 km speed limit zone. At the roundabout, he deliberately blocked both lanes to ensure no one could pass him. Then he almost hit my car! When I phoned the company office at 8:11 am, the phone wasn’t answered by their safety department. My second call was answered by someone who sounded half asleep. She was outright averse to taking a message or even providing her name. On firmly asking, she gave her name as Amar. Then she asked me to call their safety department after 9:00 am rather than passing the message. Later she noted my name and number from the phone display and agreed to pass the message but I haven’t heard from them. Her best solution was the she would notify the driver. Wow! The perpetrator is allowed to handle his own complaints! Talk about lack of checks and balances and disregard for the public safety. If I don’t receive a call from a person in the position of authority, I won’t have a choice except to report the matter to relevant law enforcement agencies. Unsafe drivers and companies like this that hire them need to be actioned on because they pose threat to public safety.

This company has trash drivers 2 days in a row at 6am going through a construction zone following the posted speed limit i had one of their drivers rriding up on me for at least 10+miles and when I got off at my exit he laid on his air horn.
