When I was shopping for my first car, I didn't really know what to expect. I spoke to Tom and Pepper about a used car pre-purchase inspection and they gave me free advice while I was shopping before I even stepped in the shop and gave them any business. They were extremely helpful and friendly.I ended up going forward with the safety and found them to be very thorough! They checked everything they needed for the safety and even did a generic service/maintenance per my request - but didn't charge me for it. They just let me know what they found and never tried to upsell me anything.1. Road tested the car2. Checked engine coolant3. Checked brake fluids/pads/rotors4. Checked for tire wear - advice on alignment/balance5. Checked transmission fluid6. Timing belt/chain7. Spark plugsI'd recommend this shop to anybody. Looking forward to continue doing business with them.

Hate giving them 5 stars as more folks will use them! I won't get the priority appointments anymore.

I've been looking for a local auto repair shop for the past three years. I had this shop give my vehicle a thorough going over, with an extensive list of concerns to start from. When I picked the car up today, I was told I would likely notice a difference, which was an understatement. I was pleased with all aspects of my experience with this shop, and will happily continue to deal with them. My search is over.

I have been taking my vehicles there for quite a while. Tom and Pepper are superb. In this day and age of shysters it’s so awesome to have a mechanic I trust implicitly. They have never led me astray. If you’re not taking your car here, you should be!

I didn't get their service but I was calling so many people to solve my issue but nobody tried to help me the way these guys did, with whatever knowledge they had.So thankyou so much! Really appreciate your guidance. Meant so much to me in my hour of trouble.Will definitely come over to you with my car.

Doug's Auto Repair is perhaps the best auto repair shop experience I've ever had - honest, knowledgeable and, going above and beyond. I had to go to Ottawa from Toronto to help my elderly father for a couple of days. My engine light came and I was concerned that it was unsafe to go back to Toronto. Tom made time for me to bring my car in at the last minute since I wasn't in town long, diagnosed it quickly and honestly and let me know what needed fixed and what wasn't critical. All with professionalism, friendliness, and fairness. I will be recommending Tom and Doug's Auto Repair to all my Ottawa friends! Thanks again Tom :)

I had my car serviced at Doug's for the first time this week and I was really happy with the whole experience. Communication was great. No pressure to get extra work done, just informed of the option. Prices were fair. And the car was ready when they said it would be. I used to go to another garage that was nearer my office, but with being home all the time I needed a new and closer alternative. I'm really happy to have found Doug's -- highly recommended!

Came all the way from Toronto to buy a car in town and I decided to have it taken to Doug's for a safety inspection and repair based on reviews here. Doug's turned out to be the perfect choice, they were knowledgeable and honest and described exactly what the car needed fixed right away for a safety certification and what should be addressed in the near future. A business based on integrity, and I highly recommend.

We started taking our truck to Doug's Auto Repair a few years ago and found them to be very honest. Then our son bought a used car and they were so thorough going threw all the possible issues. They have been great to us and we know we can trust them! And they take good car of our son too.
