IKEA Toronto - Downtown AURA
This store is a bit of a disaster. The worst part about my overall negative experience here was checking out. There are no cash registers here, no cashiers. There are a handful of self-checkout stations (for a store of--what 40 thousand square feet?). I counted five IKEA employees hovering around the self-checkouts in order to help customers. Why not have them cash customers out?? When one of my items didn't scan properly, I was randomly selected" to have my purchases checked. Can you imagine? The IKEA worker hovering over my shoulder then had to delete my order

Good place. Nice collection. Although it seems less than the other Etobicoke location. But still they have decent enough choices if you can't go that far.

IKEA Toronto - Downtown AURA
This is an IKEA we have been waiting to open since they announced the location a year or so back. This store is bigger than we imagined. It is great as it has the small things we need without us having to go to a location further from the downtown core (things like wood hangers, an ice cube tray, etc.). Before we knew it, we had spent over two hours in the store. There is a lot to go through. We didn't see everything. Next time we know to allot more time here.

Great location, interesting store complete with cheapest coffee and cinnamon roll ($2+tax) in downtown Toronto. However, staff are completely self absorbed. I was trying to get help and there were 3 staff standing by the cash, but they were more interested in their own personal discussion than actually helping a customer! Please note, they have put in place every obstacle possible, if you’re trying to buy some thing big. If you can’t easily carry it, leave it! Drive to a real IKEA. They have no mechanism for pick up and to add insult to injury, as you’re scrambling to find a cart (no staff willing to assist) and your required to self check out (only) while you’re being supervised by uncaring staff and constantly prompted that you are being monitored, you finally get out of the store and your cart wheels lock before you get to the elevators or exit (now what?????) Thanks downtown IKEA!Update: I learned after the fact that they have delivery options (by visiting their website), however this was never outlined as an option in store.

Selections are the perfect amount for the intended demographic of downtown customers. I was pleasantly surprised given the space that they had and the overall layout was intuitive in my opinion. Staff were very friendly and helpful if there was anything I needed. I thoroughly enjoyed the seating area located in between the first and second floor that allowed for eating and studying if need be. The food is always good, and they’re desserts are just as good. Very impressed overall and a good place to just walk around if you enjoy being in IKEA.

I'm very impressed with this Ikea. It's conveniently located near College station and you can easily find it. I was able to find everything that I needed and the staff was very helpful.I'll definitely be back!

IKEA Toronto - Downtown AURA
Needless to say, Ikea is the go-to place for someone who is new in town and wishes to settle down ASAP. Most items are cost effective. This DT store has more items in stock than I have expected. You must not miss the Cafe for a $1.5 ice cream which is creamier than expected! Become a member by registering online for free and you stand to enjoy one free regular coffee per day! It is arguably one of my favourite home renovation places!

Not the best Ikea considering its size and selection but it does the job. Getting food here around lunch time is seriously hard, it's very busy and congested.

Smaller than the typical Ikea however still a great place! It still had a lot to offer. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions well and were friendly. It is super clean inside.
