Island Chauffeur

These guys are the best. They are always on time and always accommodate my late requests. The vans they use are new, super comfortable, and clean. I feel fortunate to have such a great company and skilled drivers to get me to those early morning flights at the Nanaimo airport. Highly recommend.

We were visiting parts of Vancouver Island from the US and needed to find one-way transportation in-between since we weren’t able to rent a car. I thought I was really stuck!Thankfully I found Garth on TripAdvisor, and he made it very easy for us to arrange everything (a ride from Victoria to Comox, then a week later from Comox to the Ferry in Nanaimo). Our driver, Carmen, for both legs was a very safe, nice and professional driver. He accommodated my kids’ various needs for stops. The whole process was so smooth and pleasant. Garth is an absolute saint. He goes above and beyond to serve his clients and is kind, reliable and professional. My mom was stranded in Nanaimo airport and he went above and beyond to get her delivered safely home to Qualicum Beach. Cannot emphasize enough what an incredible service Island Chauffeur offers.

I had a great experience driving with both Carmen and Garth at two different occasions. They offer great rates for their service. Totally worth it.. specially when there is no reliable bus service between towns.. They have been in business since 2005 so they know what they are doing.. even though they can get really busy due to high demand you can tell that Garth and his team are really trying to accomodate everyone as much as possible. I booked my ride on very short notices and was pleasantly surprised with their flexibility. On top of all that Garth the owner made my second trip so special he waived my entire taxi fare out of kindness of his heart! He observed that I'm starting a new job on the island and helped me move all my stuff. He went above and beyond and made my day. I wish him all the success in life and beyond. Thank u Garth xoxo

We booked last minute for a pick up at the ferry. Didn't want my partner to drive in this crazy weather. They were quick and really nice on the phone. Richard was right there when I came out with my bags. An elderly lady was on the ride too. He helped us with our bags, brought her to her door and made sure she was safe in the snow. The roads were crazy, but Richard was a great driver and I felt safe.They were a great price compared to a taxi. Thank you!

Contacted with a question, although unable to book with this company (due to location of travel) Garth was lovely enough to point me in a different direction that suits our travel path. I will definitely use Island Chauffeur in the future when travelling closer to their base. Thank you again-first time BC traveller planing a trip!

Garth was a great driver . On time and never even broke the speed limit. Very safe. Recommended .

My one and only not great review for our wedding. After switching venues we needed to hire a shuttle to get our guests that were not camping safely back to hotels in Parksville. I didn't have much time to research this part. I will say, everyone that needed to did get to their hotels safely. However, the driver we had was quite rude. We had many guests contact us to let us know that this was the case. I do know that my husband's family can get loud and like to have a good time, but when you're hired to drive for a wedding from 9pm-1am you must have a general idea that people are not going to be sober when they are ready to leave. I also know that the driver made very good tips that night so hearing from so many that the last thing from a great wedding was a less than enjoyable experience upset me. When he drove my husband and I home I understood him being upset with us because I didn't have my phone and only a general idea of where our air bnb was (oops that's on me). But we were on one of the last rides of the night so that doesn't excuse the trips earlier in the night. I have also emailed them to let them know my feelings and have yet to get a response. 4/10

Polite, clean, friendly and fast. I would suggest this service to anyone. Garth did a great job, he was waiting a the top of the ramp of the Lasqueti ferry and dropped me off at departure bay in a very timely manner. Covid protocols in place - I will be taking this service again for sure.

I called Island Chauffeur with no prior notice at 5:15 PM on a weekday and they were somehow able to have a shuttle waiting for us at the Nanaimo airport within 30 minutes. Our driver, Mike, was friendly and professional, the van was clean and well-maintained, and our trip to Campbell River was very pleasant. I highly recommend these guys.
