Riverport House

Date of StayJuly 17, 2015Seven of us stayed at Herons Perch in July 2015 for 8 days. There was my family and my brothers family, (total of three kids under 10). It was perfect for us. It is a beautifully restored home in Riverport Nova Scotia. The first thing that struck me was how quiet it was in this community. It is on a road but the traffic is infrequent. There was oodles of room, it is a spacious home with big bright rooms. The kids had fun playing games out on the well kept lawn and we used the bbq on several occasions on the deck. There is an incredible beach (Hirtles) within a few minutes drive from the house and many other things to do nearby, including fishing for Mackeral from the local Scallop plant wharf two or three kms down the road. . It is about a ten minute drive to Lunenburg, and there a very good local convenience store/liquor store about 1 km down the road. We would definitely stay here again. The home away description of the property is accurate and the owners were helpful and quick to respond via email.
