I recall going here a time or two in years past, and it was enjoyable. However, I am giving 5 stars solely based on the fact that this establishment has a no minors policy. I wish there were more establishments who would adopt this policy. This pub is a bit out of the way for me now, but I'm more inclined to visit adult only businesses these days since I've had some unpleasant experiences recently with children in pubs/breweries/fine dining restaurants. Super disappointed in the service we recieved today. Our food took 50 minutes to come out from the kitchen after ordering. Our server checked on us once in that time and it wasn't until our food came out that they told us it was delayed due to an issue in the kitchen. If she had taken the 30 seconds to tell us what was going on it would have made waiting and watching other tables that were seated after us get their food less frustrating. Food was decent when it came out. Probably wont go back due to the service.

Hm I don’t think I would recommend this place to be honest. The service was not good, the food was mediocre at best and it’s a bit expensive for what it is. I did not like the beef stroganoff at all, the beef was very dry and tasteless. The dip was good but didn’t give nearly enough pita, then it was overpriced for extra pita. The fish and chips was actually a lot and we couldn’t finish it, but it was just ok.We had multiple different servers and didn’t know who we should talk to. Not attentive. Took too long to get their attention so we could get the bill. Not great parking either.

We are locals and come here time to time and the service always seems to be sub-par. It feels as though we are more of an inconvenience to the staff than we are guests. Most of the waitresses and other staff members don’t smile or greet in a friendly manner. Our server did not provide a quality check, nor did she fill our waters throughout the full visit. The energy amongst the staff is just not very good. Giving it 2 stars because the food has consistently met standards, however service falls short time and time again.

Went last Sunday, when Cook Street Village had a market- it was super busy, the patio was packed outside! Had a dog, party of 4. We checked with the hostess, and thankfully there was another patio section in the back of the restaurant, with a few other dogs also hanging out. The energy was good, server was very accurate in taking our orders. I got a beef dip with onion rings- pretty good, the batter was crispy, and not too thick. The beef dip was flavourful. The rest of us also were happy with the food, presentation looked very tidy.I recommend, especially for those wanting to bring their dogs! Nice patio.

This pub used to be The Flying Beagle. Lots of microbrew beers 35 on the list but that includes Guinness and Strongbow. Very nice washroom. Nice patio. Good fast service excellent fish and chips with a generous portion of coleslaw. My partner had an apple walnut salad. No stout except Guinness.

Took a very long walk around Victoria and around lunch we wanted something to eat. Saw this pub on our walk and decided to give it a try.I ordered one of the sandwiches on special and my cousin ordered the chicken fingers. Her chicken fingers weren't the skinny frozen kind thats for sure. I enjoyed my sandwich but definitely would get the chicken fingers next time. Service was fast and awesome. As well as sat out on the patio to people watch and enjoy our lunch. Would go back again next time back in Victoria.

Great place to go for a pint. Our server Taylor was excellent! She always made sure we had our drinks fast and was very friendly. Too bad I couldn't bring my family as minors aren't allowed.
