Chartwell Pickering City Centre Retirement Residence

My mom has made the Chartwell Pickering City Center Retirement Residence her home for the last 8 months and the experience has been fantastic! Just prior to the move Mom had lost most of her vision and the transition to a new home after over 60 years in her house was not easy. Everyone (and I mean everyone!) has gone out of their way to assist with her transition. From placing raised dots on the handrails so she can 'feel' her way to and from the elevator, to enlarged Bingo cards so she can join in the fun, to escorts to and from activities, to providing her with a way to pre-order her meals so that she is more comfortable in the dining room, the team at Chartwell has been thoughtful and caring. It is a huge comfort to know that she is surrounded by such compassionate people. They work hard to keep her safe and even when small things happen (like a recent bump into the doorframe) I was immediately notified. Emma (the Wellness Staff) even used her personal cell phone to video call with me so that I could see the bump and reassure myself that it was minor. Congratulations to the leadership and all the staff at this Residence. Job well done!

Just want to give a quick review on customer service at Charwell Pickering City Centre. There is a very special staff person in the leasing department who is so well suited in her role. The compassion and care that Ashley showed for my situation was so important in helping me to get to a clear resolution. She was genuine with her desire to help and this helped to put my mind at ease. She showed that she cared, and this led to me having trust in her that she could help. On another note the facility is beautiful and your loved one will be well cared for during their time there.

I would like to thank the staff at Chartwell Pickering City Centre for their wonderful care and concern for their patients. My mom, Eileen has been there for 30 months and has been looked after and supported with very high professionalism. The building is clean and always cared for. The medical staff is very warm and attentive. I would like to make special thanks to staff that I have gotten close to and respected for their care of my mother. That would be the kitchen staff, BeBe and more, who cheer up the whole room and make sure her meals are fun. Terry behind the front desk always has a smile for me and I know my questions and concerns will be dealt with promptly, thank you. And to Ashley, the social director who keeps the ladies hopping with organized events and takes special thought and care for many wonderful ladies staying at Chartwell, including my mom. Our music ensemble, Music4Life Ensemble, have been hosted by Chartwell to perform live music for the residents. The facility and staff are incredibly welcoming and easy to work with!

My name is Edward Lam owner of a Classic 1963 Cadillac Sedan Deville that was displayed for the residence viewing and to take pictures sitting in the vehicle etc. The residence had lots of fun with the vehicle present.Just want to give a quick review on customer service at Chartwell Pickering City Centre.Ashley Brown who is so genuinely suited in her role. The compassion and care that Ashley showed is true caring and to inspired the residence to enjoy and have fun safely. The facility is beautiful and safe for your loved ones and to know that they will be well cared for there.

I have been working at Chartwell for about a year and this is the longest I have stayed at a job. The place feels very homely and the residents are awesome! they always make the day better. The staffs here are very friendly and always there for you If you need anything! :)

My grandmother moved in to Chartwell Pickering in March and all the staff have been wonderful. She recently had an issue with her tv and the staff really went out of their way to help her out. We really feel confident in the level of service provided. Everyone is very friendly and truly care about the residents.

My sister spent two weeks at Chartwell Pickering in the short term/respite care facilities. I was extremely nervous leaving her in the home and was immediately put at ease by the staff. They went out of their way to set up a special room for my sister, they greeted her with a welcome package, and more importantly, they put her at ease and watched over her.I would like to give a special shout out to the following women that went the extra mile on behalf of myself and my sister:Ashley Brown and Adebimpe Spencer-Walters

From the moment you walk in the entrance the reception team is always there to give you a warm welcome and often times residents as well.

My mother and father in law were at Chartwell City Centre for three years. The staff are all amazing! They went above and beyond for my in-laws, and were all very kind and caring. I would highly recommend Chartwell to anyone looking for a retirement community.
