Restaurant Le Carré
Manager and wait staff went above and beyond to make us feel cared for. Burrata and green salad were flavorful, and the salmon and swordfish were cooked perfectly. Will be visiting again!

Restaurant Le Carré
What can I say, the calamari was not great. My chicken was dry. At times we felt like we were being rush to put in an order. I think they didn’t have enough staff, my glass of water would be empty, and the server would reach in front of you to deliver or take plates. The drinks were great! The rest of the main dishes were excellent, especially the Salad.

Cute little restaurant with a calm, classy atmosphere. Everything we ordered was delicious and well seasoned. It’s rare that you find a restaurant where all 3 courses are a hit. Bravo to the kitchen!I’m so surprised that this place doesn’t get more buzz, it’s a true gem and deserves more notoriety.

What an amazing dining experience! Warm, friendly inviting staff. Clean ingredients. I chose a chilled vegetable soup that was light yet creamy. I chose a small salmon tartare as a second. The fish, light sauce, and micro greens were perfectly combined. My partner had a light green salad and a tuna appetizer that was Asian inspired. There was no attitude because we ordered lightly. No pressure. Just warmth. The owner, his sons and the entire staff could not have been more attentive or gracious. Great food made even better by lovely atmosphere and service. Going back again tomorrow!!!!

A very cozy and fancy place at Square Phillips. The staff is wonderful and really take care of you :) From the appetizers to the main course and dessert, it was gourmet's delight throughout. Really loved the fried calamari and green salad to the Farmhouse Chicken Breast. We all loved our dessert for it was beyond delicious. On my subsequent visit I had the Grilled Shrimp caesar salad and it was so worth it! Next time I look forward to trying Cod fish & chips. Just make a reservation and get ready to spend a wonderful time with family and friends at this 10/10 restaurant :)

Restaurant Le Carré
Unfortunately, I was fairly disappointed by our dining experience at Le Carré. The service was friendly and efficient, waiting times were a bit long but nothing dramatic. However, I ordered the octopus and the portion size was ridiculously small for it to cost 43 CAD - this dish could have been a starter. Also, the veggies that accompanied the octopus were drenched in oil and tasted bland. The entire dish could have used some seasoning. My partner ordered the veal chop and the portion was way more generous, the difference in price was negligible. Again, the veggies were very oily and bland. All in all this place is fairly over priced for what you get. The quality of the food as well as the preparation of the dishes did not convince me.

Excellent upmarket downtown restaurant, offering wonderful service and cuisine in a small and cozy setting.The service was really attentive from the moment we arrived, through to departure.I really enjoyed the octopus dish, full of flavour and appetizing presentation. The desert of Panacota, was smaller than I expected but it was just perfect - bursting with flavors and texture.I really enjoyed their offering of non-alcoholic i cocktails.Overall, great location, great service and excellent food - highly recommend.

This restaurant is a few small improvements away from being really great.The service was good, friendly, attentive. Once I waited a bit long for a beer, and they took the bottle of water away with 20% or more still in it and charged us for it, which was strange. Otherwise, I liked the staff.Food was mixed, the veal was really good, the side vegetables could have used some salt and seasoning. Portion size is quite varied, with some mains being much bigger than others. For some, like the octopus, the price seems too high for the portion size.Lastly, the atmosphere is quite nice, optically. I really disliked the music, though, it‘s a playlist entirely made of covers of popular songs, which is very irritating.

Restaurant Le Carré
I was curious to try out this place with great reviews and the beautifully plated photos. I like the ambiance, intimate, cheerful, not too loud. Service was good, prices were fair, very nice presentation of food on each plate as well as the presentation of cocktails. However I didn’t find the food or drinks that great.
