Where to start! As a parent, your most treasured and important belongings- are your kids. It's hard to find the trust in others to care for them. Returning to work from my maternity leave had me feeling all sorts of emotions. Excitement to return to the work I love...but nervous about how my kids will do without me. Sound familiar?After touring facilities in the Leduc area, and interviewing some day homes- my husband and I both agreed that Global Childcare stood out from the rest. In our gut- this was the obvious choice for our family.What we LOVE:Layout- the center is very open with dividing ponywalls that create separate section depending on the child's age and stage. I liked that they weren't completely closed off rooms. This made it feel bright, and creates a higher level of safety for both the staff and children.Location: Mainstreet. Smack dab in the middle of our city where my husband or I each only have a 5 to 10 minute short drive to drop them off or pick up after work. Also close to Telford Lake and Civic Pond for their daily walks! Higher chance of seeing lots of bird/wildlife action!Big Picture Goals: This is a new space for Global. So they have some fun and exciting renovations planned for an indoor play area (when the cold snaps settle in or super rainy/thunderstorm days) and a seperate floor for the older/out of school care kids. I can't wait to see how it all is once finished!And finally...the STAFF: To simply put it... these women are so incredible. I had a good feeling after our first tour in how I observed them interacting with the children and working together as a team. However, now that we've had a few months to learn more about them- the word grateful comes to mind. Their attention to detail, kindness & care, appropriate boundary and limit setting with each age/stage of development for the group of kiddos they are working with, their fun and joyful approach- all makes me smile. I know each day, my kids are in excellent hands. Professional. Clean. Fun. Supportive. Check, check, check- to all of the above. They build rapport with parents and work on the developmental milestones with your child. I love reading the daily updates about what my 15 month old son is doing! And my almost 3 year old fills me in on the drive home about all the fun games and coloring she does in a day. Angela always greets me at pick up with a smile, gives me any updates and has excellent communication!Ahhh.. I could go on and on.The platform is a review, but really this is a THANK YOU NOTE to the staff at Global Childcare Centre. Thank you for taking such good care of my children.Special shout outs to Angela and Kira for working so well with my littlest to give him some consistency and being patient with him to settle into routine, explore new toys, and encourages his curious mind.And to Aman and Jas! Who my daughter asks so much about and loves to say good morning to them at the beginning of each day. They handle her little Miss. I would give 10 stars, the owner/director has always valued any concerns I have had (which, are very few). The staff is adored by my youngest and they have provided above par early education such as teaching letters, numbers, months of the year, counting, colors etc. My daughter enjoys all the crafts and creative time, she loves bringing home the things she made while at the centre. They are all very kind and attentive to the kids and have spare items at the centre in case they are needed; such as days that I forgot her bag and she needs a change of clothes. I find the meals that are provided to be adequate and the areas tidy and clean. I have seen both of my daughters grow immensely while attending Global. I have used Global Childcare for 10+ years from the baby room to the out of school care and have always been very pleased with the staff, management and quality of care.

The director and the entire team are very welcoming,professional and accommodating.Strongly recommend....

My daughter attends Global and we've been happy with the care she receives. Any small issues that arise solutions are communicated promptly.

As a single full time dad my 3 girls attend 5 days a week. Every one is so kind to my kids and they love going to day care. They do lots of colouring and walks, and always come home happy

My children have been going here for years. The staff are so caring and great with the kids. We don't require full time care anymore, but occasionally we still use them. They do pick ups from their school. The kids look forward to going, which definitely makes my life easier.

Very good people

Awful. One year old son comes home with other children’s clothes on regularly. Then question me asking where they are the other parents need them back after being returned. This should of never happened to begin with. Also I went away for two weeks and was asked if I can keep my son longer because they are short staffed. I witness children in distress being ignored, also seen a young male child kissing another female child who was pushing him away. I mentioned this immediately to a worker and responded “They do that all the time” Don’t waste your time or money here. Put your children first.

Gurpreet is a very kind and caring lady. If you get to interact and meet her you'll know exactly what I mean

Global is my son’s home away from home. He won’t leave without giving all of the staff a hug good bye. They are easy to deal with and so caring
