WORST experience ever. Not sure if owners changed or what happened but i’m disgusted with the repulsive prices and attitudes that the people had with my family and i. Repulsive. My ENTIRE EXTENDED family has been ordering from Kai Ping for years and this will MOST DEFINITELY be the last…. Passing the message onto all, especially because of pricing.I no longer recommend this restaurant

Ordered some food yesterday and while waiting outside for my pickup kitchen staff were coming and going without masks on.When I tried to cancel the order, the person on the phone tried to tell me I went to the wrong restaurant and then hung up on me.The food here is good, but I don't feel comfortable ordering food from a place that doesn't wear masks.

My absolute favorite for Chinese takeout in the city! My absolute favorite for Hot and Sour soup anywhere! (I also ask for it to be made spicy and it's chicken based too) No MSG is used at all! They are always willing to accommodate any dietary requirements! The owner is super friendly and her staff are amazing! Very reasonably priced.I don't eat seafood or pork, but their menu is very easy to order from with lots of options.

I really wanted to love this restaurant because it's so close by, right in River Heights. After two tries I likely won't go back as it just wasn't a great fit.First time I ordered the chicken in spicy peanut sauce and the chicken fried rice. Both were very bland and flavorless. I expected more especially from the chicken in spicy peanut sauce, given that it is listed as a house specialty.The second time I tried the cantonese chow mein and the crispy beef in spicy honey sauce, another house specialty". The crispy beef was definitely better and had good flavor

Very friendly service and delicious food! The serving size is good and they are customer oriented. It has become one of our regular places for take out.

Why won't you fry my dumplings? The food here is very good, though it changes quality a bit from order to order. My main complaint? Every time I order fried dumplings, my favorite dish, they come steamed. I state the menu number and ask for fried very specifically. But I get steamed.

Have been ordering celebratory meals for every good report card for over 15 years. Always good food, always good service. The owners are a caring family and it shows in their food. Delicious food every time. There are some pretty hot peppers in some dishes, you can watch out for them or ask that they be left out . The breaded dry veal is a family fav, and I recommend this place to any lover of good food.

Reposting this review because I was involved in this and I couldn’t have said it better myself. We had a horrible experience. Food and service were absolutely awful.“If I could give zero stars I would. I have been ordering from Kai Ping for 9 years, and have never experienced something like this before. We received a $100+ order and multiple items had hair in them, in addition to the sauces having a metallic flavour. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with the restaurant only to be accused of lying and offered a refund for a fraction of the amount paid. I agreed to the refund, but later got a call to say that the manager would not approve a refund and nothing could be done. We will not be back.”

Undercooked vegetables. Food in no way resembles photos on website menu. It was largely constituted by breading. Gave 2 fortune cookies for 4 dishes so kids could fight about it. I wouldn't go there to pick up a free meal

Great service ordering. Food arrived fast and without delivery charge due to proximity. The food was hot and absolutely delicious! Fussy here with meat with Chinese food usually but it was a 10/10. It’s now our go to. Highly recommend. Friendly fair fast and fabulous! Seriously I recommend.
