Rendez Vous Take Out & Ice Cream Bar

Well, after years of buying Fish and Chips for myself and my husband every season (every other week), we have decided on principle never to use this place again. Here’s the reason; as I’m spending the evening alone tonight I decided to pop in and order something a bit different this time. All I wanted was a Poutine ($9.95) and I asked for 1 Piece of Fish (priced on their board as $4.95 for extra piece of Fish). But I was told that because I wasn’t ordering it with chips, that 1 piece of Fish was $6:95. I explained to the owner I WAS buying chips (which cost $9.95 as a poutine), so surely they didn’t need to charge me an extra $2 for the fish?? However, the owner insisted that I had to pay $6:95 for a piece of fish even if it was to go with a poutine. Now don’t get me wrong, of course I could afford to pay the extra $2!! But was I going to in principle? Was I hell!! So the result = 2 regular customers lost (who spent $15:95 EACH every other week). You do the math. Bad business sense? Yup, I’d say. We won’t ever go there again :(

Best fish and chips in town! Bulgoggi was really good too.

Cheeseburger platter (fresh-cut fries) was delicious. They have gazebo and patio seating overlooking a little waterway. Very friendly service.

Come here regularly for ice cream after going to caissie cape. Always delicious flavours of ice cream and delicious other food. Can eat in our outside and the prices are great.Thanks for the yummy treat!

Had the combo rice, pork, dumplings and spring rolls. Excellent and somewhat healthy. The service is quick and friendly.

This place is a treat. Lots of seating outside, and a decent little bunky to eat in when you want shelter. The fish burger is delicious, same with the shrimp platter. My daughter loves getting icecream here.

Great poutine and amazing spring rolls. Poutine a little pricey, but spring rolls a good price.
