Same deal. Got this as a birthday present. I was a little apprehensive at first but Greg made me feel really comfortable and he is an amazing , smart and patient teacher. This course was by far one of the most gratifying things I have ever done. I ended up with an amazing beautiful guitar, made a great friend and I have something of real substance to leave my children. This is worth way more than what you pay for. Thanks Greg. Highly recommend. I brought Greg an old, damaged and neglected acoustic guitar and he not only repaired it but polished it up and put new strings on it. When I picked it up from his shop he had it looking and sounding like new. Could not be happier with the results.

Possibly 6 stars?!I have and still am enjoying every second of this course!Whether you are looking for a hobby or some knowledge on starting a new career path this is 100% where I would recommend anybody to start!Very relaxing and comfortable atmosphere.Greg knows his stuff and will always set aside time to explain things to you, to better understand WHY and not just how.In this course YOU do EVERYTHING! Had a fantastic time building an acoustic guitar with Greg.

Sort of “sparrow on a wire” twitch if you will. Great Spot to build your own guitar.I spent 2 weeks with Greg at Harbour Guitars building a guitar of my own design. Greg accommodated this building a template for me prior to my arrival, to save time. I had no idea what timbers, I was going to use when I arrived and was pleased to see that Greg had quite a range to choose from. I ended up using Indian rosewood for the sides and Bear Claw Spruce for the sound board. There was no pressure during the course. Some days we worked up to 8 hours and other days only 5 or 6. The workshop was well equipped and all the blades kept sharpened. The air conditioner and air filter made it a pleasant working environment. Greg kept the workshop neat tidy. Benches and floor were clean ready for each new day. Greg let me do my own thing, but stepped in when I needed help with some of the tricky bits. Being the middle of the summer break accommodation was a bit hard to find in Port Stanley but I managed to get accommodation 2 blocks from the workshop at Above and Beyond Port B&B" with Karen Segeren

Such a gem within this tiny village! The creative energy of the workshop is palpable, from the moment you cross the threshold. Greg is warm and welcoming and so eager to share his technical knowledge, his vast and varied experience, and his passion for music. A treasure.

I built a guitar at harbour guitar last nov till feb last winter. it is absolutely beautiful and enjoyed every minute of the experience. you don't have to know anything about the tools and machines you use as that is Greg's job . he explains everything and is an excellent teacher. and well versed in his craft. I plan on making another soon . I am now learning how to play my hand crafted one of a kind parlor guitar. I HAVE NAMED IT MY BLEEDING HEART". I would encourage anyone who is interested in music to take the journey of building your own instirment there is such a connection when you play something that you yourself built."

My experience with Harbour Guitar has been nothing short of astonishing!!First off Greg is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet! He has a supreme knowledge of guitar luthery making him world class! His shop is cutting edge and State of the Art! The best part is his wood supply is among the rarest and most toneful woods you will find, thus producing a superior sounding guitar to anything that's out there. Best of all you get to build it!!Location is great, especially in the summer. Lots of accommodations if you are looking to turn this into a vacation. You are a 5 min walk from lake Erie. Bars and Restaurants are also walking distance. Night life is also really great! So good time there if you are into that.For the price you simply can't beat the Harbour Guitar experience, because that's what it is, the experience of a lifetime!
