Smithers Golf & Country Club

Was not happy with this golf course at all 6 out of the 9 holes had sprinklers going on 30 degree weather. Would not go here again very disappointed!

It's a fun course, I'm more of a patio person though. Their patio is also great ;)

The course was in good condition and I thought that green fee's were very reasonable.

June 21st 2022. Paid $36 at 6:30 at night. Played five holes and walked off the course. This course is in the worst shape of any course I have seen in my life. And I do know..... my parents built and ran a golf course when I was a kid. Friends of mine did the Fairview College and built courses like the new 9 in Banff and the 36 holes in Kananaskis. I also play with greenskeepers from courses on Vancouver Island where I live . So I'm 63 now and I cannot think of a course in worse shape than this course that I played today. Greens are terrible Fairways are terrible and it's like they haven't even been cutting the first or second cuts off the Fairway. I looked at the photos on this website of the condition of the greens in the past. Whoever your superintendent is needs to be fired.So the next day I played Terrace BC course was night and day... 180° difference from Smithers. Terrace was in very good shape. Talking to a few people asking what was going on in Smithers people believe that they're having problems getting people to work. Years ago I was a member on Pender Island and we had a terrible superintendent but the course had a good group of member volunteers coming in to help. Maybe that's what's Smithers needs

Spectacular views. The greens are near perfect this year, on account of the new tarp system purchased last year. It's going to be a great year of golf!!

I would have given them a no star rating if I could. Such incompetence. My grandpa booked a reservation for 2 but when we came they said we had to do it at a later time because they overbooked" us on father's day! And then the machine wouldn't give him a full refund! I recommend never going here!"

Nice place to host a Christmas party. Will have to check it out during actual golf season.

Beautiful view from the deck,course is well manicured, in all a great outing.

This is an excellent golf course that is well maintained. Decent prices for both 9 and 18 holes. Staff are friendly and helpful.
