Oh dear. This is the third visit in 14 months. Very disappointing. Tasteless food. Undercooked items. Why? Come on. Oh, and expensive especially since it is tasteless. We are from Vancouver so I guess we are spoiled from excellent Chinese food. We will not be trying a fourth time. Get some cooks who know how to make authentic Chinese food. 再見保重

Can't give this a zero star, so they unfortunately get. One star. Chow mein" was made from instant noodles packs with miniscule slices of veggies and "chicken" . Almond chicken was soggy and tasteless. Deep fired prawns were shrimp with about an inch coating of batter and tasteless

Best chinese food avail in town. Though there was not dine in, they allowed us to to dine in by settin up a table in there. The lady was very nice and polite. Affordable rate

Enjoy most of their stuff, especially the spicy fried tofu and hot and sour soup.... but if you order some of their noodle dishes, like Shanghai noodle, they give you literal spaghetti pasta, which is extremely disappointing. If I wanted that I would dig into my pantry, otherwise very tasty.

Very disappointed with our dinner tonight. I feel like they took the old food off of the smorg table because everything was old. The chow mein, the prawns, the rice, the almond chicken, the sweet and sour pork everything was dry and hard like it has been sitting for while. not worth $60. the only decent thing was the beef and broccoli chop suey. Was trying them to try and find a good go to take out place other then our normal quality foods. It's pretty bad when quality foods has better Chinese. The delivery guy was very nice though!

Very sad with how good the food is but the customer service is beyond horrible! The old lady who answers the phone loves arguing and making it that she is right. It's never the customer is right. It's her who has to be! We have been ordering every other week and had no problem but the last two times. Won't be ordering no more after the last.

Our first take out order in Nanaimo. It is not a place to go to for dine in. They only do take out. You will get a 10% discount if you pick it up by yourself. But if you cannot, you pay the regular price. You can pay cash or card when ordering by phone upon delivery.The good thing here you can order before 12 midnight.I love their fried rice, and their curry fried rice. I dislike their almond chicken, though. Their chow mien tastes all the same even though you ordered different varieties.

I’m shocked this place has so many bad reviews! My partner and I ordered from here twice last weekend, and both times we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. We tried pork fried rice, chicken chop suey, chicken wings, sweet and sour pork, and szechuan style pork. Our only complaint is that they do not cook their carrots enough in the chop suey — not a huge deal since the flavours are so good, however. Also, for my gluten free friends, Dover Chinese is on the Celiac Scene and can prepare a very large variety of their dishes gluten free! Pretty awesome! I also want to say that the service we received was friendly and kind. I do recommend trying Dover Chinese despite some negative reviews from some other people.

Huge order. Asked for 5 soy sauce sachets. Lafy seemed shocked. Had put only 2 in the parcel. Taste was mediocre. I much prefer Rutherford mall. Friendly deli staff. Reasonable price. They have soy sauce on the side & you can help yourself. They don't bark at you. Penny pinching is not a good idea in such trivial matters. I wouldn't recommend this place. Just plain rude.
