I was given a gas trimmer for my birthday on May 30, 2023. First off NO one in the department could help us because they had no knowledge of any of the products in their department. Guess management thinks we should do our own research online before we go into the store. Second- the trimmer wouldn’t start. Followed all the instructions and it took me over 30 minutes to start it. The second time I went to use it, it took me an hour of pulling the cord and waiting. Pulling the cord and waiting. Finally gave up and decided to return the trimmer to the store. Third thing- they don’t take back gas powered products. Repair only warranty. NO where in the store or in the seasonal department is there a sign telling a customer this. There is nothing printed on the receipt informing customers of this. The manager on duty, Debbie, freely admitted that! She was rude and condescending and wouldDo nothing for me except print off a contact sheet for the manufacturer. And if Remington approves the return, it takes 4-6 weeks to get the refund in the mail!!! Horrible customer service at the store and I expect from Remington. DO not buy anything gas powered fromRONA. I was planning on replacing this with another trimmer from RONA but will be going elsewhere to purchase another one. It’s no wonder theses stores are being closed left, right and center. Having Competition like HomeDepot and Canadian Tire means nothing if you take care of the customer in your store They will come back. I will never set foot in a RONA store again. I’ve spent a lot of money over the years in their store because it was Canadian owned but will never spend another dime in one of their stores***updated review ***. The number they gave me for customer service at Remington was a number for Remington shavers and personal care products. Manager on duty obviously doesn’t know how to provide good customer service and on top of that does not know her job because giving me a customer service number to a company that makes personal care products has not only wasted my time but made this horrible customer service experience worse. A store in hamilton actually gave me the correct number and bent over backwards to educate me on the return process and not just told me NO from the get go. The reason I contacted the store in hamilton is because the waterdown store kept putting me on hold then hanging up on me. Very bad customer service. Don’t waste your money at this store. Badly run and inconsiderate of a customer and their time

Very disappointed with my experience at RONA. I rented a carpet cleaner and returned it a couple hours later. Upon transport out of the store and to my home, the backseat of my car was soaked from left over water.. once returned after use, I cleaned it as instructed but was refused my deposit because the bottom of the carpet cleaner wasn’t good enough.The help at customer service was rude and provided no solutions to the damage to my vehicle. All that was said is that this isn’t clean enough and I will not be given my deposit back. Could not be more disappointed with the over all experience

Nobody is ever attending the paint department. Needed to mix paint. An employee said she got someone to come over after she was done with another customer. Customer service paged for someone to come. Was waiting for 30 minutes and still nobody came to the paint department. So I left. This isn’t the first time. It’s a recurring inconvenience at this Rona. Recommend to go to Lowes at appleby instead.

I had the worst costumer experience that a loyal Rona costumer can get.The more important that experience was from the store manager and her name is Chelsea".I had bought 20 boxes of laminate wood from Rona Mississauga (Winston Churchill/Ellington) store and I needed 4 more which they did not have. I was sent to pick up the extra 4 boxes from Rona Waterdown.After driving all the way from Mississauga to Waterdown I was surprised that the manager "Chelsea" is not going to match the price and not even trying to understand and do something to a Rona loyal costumer.I am so disappointed!"

Very slow. Kitchen designer (Saba?) doesn't listen to details. I have to repeat everything twice. No apologies when she doesn't call back because of her day off but I should just drop everything when it's convenient for her to call me. I don't think so. She should get a commission from Home Depot because she is the reason I gave them my kitchen business instead of Rona.

The front desk manager Preet, was very helpful. We purchased a vanity online and she was able to make sure we could pickup the product the same day. She was quick to call me back and get everything sorted.

Absolutely brutal customer serviceStore is devoid of staffWandered through half the store looking for help finding a simple item before finding a single employee (highschool kid) who unfortunately had no idea where anything was, didn't know how to use his phone to call for assistance and had no idea what to do to get help.Proceeded to customer service desk, two employees just standing there with nothing to do, eventually stopped talking and came to ask what I wanted. Couldn't even look up what I was looking for on their computers, spent couple minutes talking about who they should call for help until randomly an employ walked by who was able to tell me what end of the store to go to try to find the item I was looking for.

The team at Rona gave me outstanding service. I called about a mini fridge the gentleman went and confirmed that the item was in stock. When I got there he helped me put it on the dolly. Thx you to all that helped.

I wondered why I bother going to this Rona. If you want something go somewhere else. They either won't have it or their staff won't be able to help you. I wasted my time going to this store to buy lumber. Asked to get a cut so it would fit in my car. They told me I have to come back on Monday...2 days later! Really? Total waste of time. Safe your time and gas and go somewhere else even if it's farther away. I have regretted going to this store at least 3 times this year! Won't make that mistake again!

I got amazing deals at plans, soil and mulch this year! However some of the plants that were being sold were old and mine have begun to wilt in less than a month.Some are doing good so a very mixed experience for me. I liked that they had more variety, also cheaper but then I'll visit a few more times to be sure that their stuff is reliable.I liked the mulch and soil at lower prices than I would have had Canadian Tire but maybe it was just one of those days.Plants are cheaper but I would prefer Costco or Canadian Tire because of quality.The staff, though, is extremely friendly. helpful and very kind in helping you through stuff.
