Was cold and rainy this a perfect day for noodles. Fat Mao was right next to the Sheraton and a perfect place to grab lunch. They have a few veggie options but could definitely use more. The Vegetarian noodle soup was delicious and a perfect blend of curry and noodles with cauliflower and tofu. The curry roti was a great dish to start of my lunch. Their noodles were perfect and obviously homemade. Excellent noodle shop!

This is absolutely an authentic place for Thai noodles. At first, my Thai boyfriend was shocked to know they serve Thai food here, because it seemed to be more of a Chinese restaurant from the outside look. Interior decor was on point, perfect with the giant mirror, but the light was pretty weak to have a good picture here. The space is kind of small, not that many tables so if you come at lunch or dinner time, you might have to wait in a line. Last time when we came, we waited for around 15 minutes, but the food was worth it.We ordered “Khao Soi” and “Braised Beef Noodles”. “Khao Soi” was well seasoned, creamy and savory, sweet enough. “Braised Beef Noodles” tasted okay but not that impressive as I expected.Service was great, most of the servers were Thai, they had great English. I like their welcoming and helpful attitude. My boyfriend is really picky towards Thai food but he totally approved this place. However, the price is a bit high, I feel like it is a bit overpriced.Worth a comeback.

stopped by this place for dinner with friends .We ordered Tom Yum Goong , Khao soi chicken curry,Thai Ice tea and Roti with curry. The food was ok but for the price of small portions, they are kinda over priced . The Thai ice tea is plain , not recommended.

I’m happy that they opened new branch in heart of downtown! Chicken curry noodle was amazing, taste very rich. The restaurant doesn’t have enough space(a bit narrow for everything) but services were great!

I love this noodle place! I come here at least twice a week and always order the same thing! Tom Yum with the Shanghai noodles and I always ask for my broth to be extra hot (temperature wise)! I always wanted to try the century egg salad so this time I got it to go. The servers are always so sweet and friendly. Next time I also want to try the Thai rice soup!

I was very excited to try this place! As many of you know, they have a strong social media marketing team showing off their delicious noodles and soups.I had the Tom Yum seafood noodles (pictured below), and the price came out to $27.77 including a 15% tip. The flavor was certainly above average, and the waitstaff was very friendly and accommodating! I would say value is a bit of a weakness here, as the meal was rather light and I noticed the soup in the bowls were not filled all the way (might seem like a small thing, but it felt like the soup proportion was off throughout the meal).Tip: If you don’t know your noodles, ask the waitstaff! They have you customize your noodles for almost all the soup options, but some noodles are more suitable than others for certain types of broth.Overall, solid 4 stars- not the best, but certainly good.

Fat Mao Noodles did not disappoint! Do get the curry and roti - the curry was perfectly spiced and the roti was delightfully hot, fresh, and flaky. I had the khao soi and it was the best I’ve had outside of Chiang Mai. The chicken was tender, the noodles had the perfect chew to them, and the broth was…no words. It was all exceptional. To top it off, the servers were all so kind. The restaurant only has a handful of tables, but I was easily able to get a counter seat as a solo diner at lunch time on a Saturday.

Chose the hot and sour pork broth noodles as it was well recommended in a few reviews. The service was nice and quick and the hosts were very friendly. Was disappointed with the noodle soup though. The pork was medium rare but not tender, it was quite hard, fibrous and chewy. The broth like the description was quite sour, not hot or spicy enough to my liking, I was a little surprised they did not ask for my spice level preference. Overall, would choose a different dish if I were to come back. Not very inexpensive too. Total bill with tip for the one dish came out to about 26 CAD, so not super value for money.

It was my first time at Fat Mao Noodles because it was just beside my hotel Sheraton Wall Center! Very inviting and friendly staff! The restaurant was clean and well organized with some smart decorations to make the room bigger! Had Thai Rice Soup. It was beautifully prepared and the soup was delicious, especially the soft and melting poached egg! The Hot and Sour Seafood Noodles was very tasty and the broth was decently rich! The only nitpick that I had was the shrimp was a little bit dry! But overall it was great experience! Definitely will come back! Highly recommended!
