Pakwash Lake Camp
We've been going to Pakwash Lake Camp for many years and plan to go for many more. The fishing is great, the water is clean, and the scenery is beautiful. Kim and Dennis are very friendly and manage the property well. The cabins are rustic but always clean. They can manage a large group like ours (20-30) fishing for a week or just a couple people fishing for a weekend. The lake's location is easy to get to, but just remote enough to keep boat traffic and fishing pressure low.Oh - and the sunsets are fantastic.

Pakwash Lake Camp
This was my first time in Canada, and to say that I was blown away was an understatement. The friendliness at Pakwash lake camp, is unmatched. They genuinely want a full family experience and that’s exactly what my brothers, father and I received. The cabins were excellent with hot running water, refrigerator, and Wi-Fi. I cannot wait to come back next year and experience this all over again. The depth of knowledge of the owners of the lake and the wild life that surrounds Pakwash is amazing. If you are looking for a get away from the stresses of life and want to get in touch with some of the most raw nature you can find on this planet, Pakwash Lake Camp is the place to go. The team is always running around making sure that the guests are being taken care of as we always woke up to two freshly gassed boats and minnows were literally hand delivered to the docks. This review will not do its justice and the best thing I can say is to experience it for yourself. Thank you Kim and Denise for your hospitality. We cannot wait to come back next year!

Pakwash Lake Camp
Place was great, as was the fishing. Despite nature having a cranky year with high water flooding the launch/dock area they made sure they had alternative docks and launch area already figured out and ready to go for us. Overall great place and great trip.

Pakwash Lake Camp
After 30+ years staying and fishing at Pakwash Lake Camp I can only give it my best recommendation , the facilities are continuously improved and the Owners Denis & Kim treat their guests like family. Good fishing only 100 yards from the dock, and the accommodations are top notch. Update June '23, great fishing, very nice improvements to waterfront and dockage! We go for 2 weeks and eat lots of fish, bring home limits and have a great relaxing time. We caught very nice walleye, northern, and smallmouth, many of them within sight of the camp! You will not regret choosing Pakwash Lake Camp for your vacation with family and or fishing group. We have already booked our trip for next year!

We wanted a small little get away with our family and a few friends. From day 1 the owners were amazing and very welcoming. Cabins were clean and stocked with your kitchen necessities. We really enjoyed the beach, it’s sandy and very clean. We plan to head there again this year and stay a bit longer.

Best family vacation so far! Pakwash is a highly productive lake for walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass and perch. Over the last 30 years, the reduction of possession limits on each species, slots and the camp’s support of catch and release of larger size fish is paying huge dividends (see photos). The camp has a new dock system, break water walls and boat launch. Every morning you are greeted by the owners Kim and Denis at the docks to meet all your needs. Gas tanks are topped and minnows are ready-to-go as you head out on your fishing daily excursion. The camp had a nice beach area with small kayaks, which my boys enjoyed. I am a very detailed individual and had a lot of questions planning my trip. Kim was very responsive to all my questions. The cabins/cottages were clean and functional for cooking, sleeping and cleaning up. The guests are expected to clean up prior to checking out but this is great to keep cost low. The kitchen had all the basics to get you through the week such as microwave, coffee pot, utensils, and Weber grills. Wifi is available if you need to connect. The camp’s gravel roads and dock area were regraded after any rain, which shows Denis’s attention to detail. The grounds were properly mowed and edged. Garbage was picked up each morning outside the cabins. General food needs and sundries are available for purchase. Lots of Pakwash “swag” is available for souvenirs (hats, tee shirts and sweatshirts). Don’t leave without a bottle of grade a maple syrup from a local artisanal producer. We rented an outfitter Lund boat which was perfect to fit 4 comfortably and a 16” skiff for two. I can’t express how much my 4 boys (ages 9-21) enjoyed their first Canadian fishing trip. The hospitality of the owners as top notch! The value can’t be beat for the experience! The countdown to next year’s trip has started.

We've been going to Pakwash Lake Camp for many years. Kim and Denis are the very best. They run a great resort for both campers and cabin-renters. They have bait, select food items and fishing and apparel items. The value can't be beat! If you want a fun, affordable fishing adventure in Northwestern Ontario, the Pakwash Lake Camp is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

Lovely place and great hosts! They check in on you and will help you with any needs. They have ice and goods at the lodge house which is nice so we don't have to drive to town all week long. Great cabins and great fishing. We had a hard time catching fish that were not too big to take home! Which is a great thing!

This place has a great view, very nice owners and also trophy sized fish. Boats are always filled up in the morning and if you have any problems they will help as best as they can trying to resolve any problems with the boat or cabins. The cabins are big enough so you can do whatever you have to and a lot of variety in the type of fish in the lake. I would really recommend you try it out going back next year. Thank you Kim and Dennis for making it memorable trip!
