Dr Tara Risling is amazing. My dog is a real pain at the vet and Dr Tara is so kind and gentle and patient with him. She never makes us feel rushed and is so thorough. We love her and are very grateful for her and all the staff for their patience and kindness!

We were pretty reluctant to have our Abby do the surgery for her leg as it was both costly and we've never heard of Carstairs Veterinary Hospital before. But because of the persistence of her Vet Dr. Ballantyne, we had the surgery right away and we are glad we did. Dr. Tom did an excellent job of fixing our fur baby's leg and its almost a week, Abby's already seemingly back to her old self raring to go and run out the backyard again. Everyone at Carstairs Veterinary took care of her like she was their own, we love seeing our furry baby getting back to her old self. Thank you for everyone at Carstairs vet!

This clinic is amazing. Right from the beginning the service from the administration was excellent, very kind, helpful and answered all my questions on the phone. Dr. Tom did our dog, Reggie’s, TPLO surgery, we couldn’t have had a better experience. He explained everything, was caring with our dog and took time to make sure we understood the procedure. We drove from Calgary and would not hesitate to go there and recommend them. By far the best clinic I have been to.

I could not recommend this vet enough. Extremely friendly, knowledgable and professional staff. Our vet Sandra has such a passion and love for animals it shines through. She's always so gentle with my boy and caring. I started coming here when I lived in Airdrie, we have since moved to the deep south in Calgary and I will make the drive no problem knowing the support I get from this vet clinic. Clooney is always quite calm when we have our visits, that says a lot to me as well. Keep up the good work. Sincerely, a forever loyal client.

Our large breed dog just had her second TPLO surgery in 6 months with Dr. Tom. We have been so happy with her surgery and grateful for such supportive after care. Dr Tom’s calm, well-spoken and humble demeanour made us feel completely comfortable and confident that our sweet girl Marlow was in great hands. His approach was to get us back to full function in the most realistic way possible and empower us to help her recover. Her first leg is back and better than ever and we are seeing fantastic early results on leg #2! We cannot recommend Carstairs vet clinic enough and would make the drive from Calgary again in a heartbeat

Dr Tom Picherack did our dog Luna TPLO surgery. He was amazing, he kept us informed during the whole process. Explained what to expect, the way he interacted with our dog during the assessment made us feel confident and comfortable with him and his team. I use every opportunity I have to share the fantastic experience with other dog owners about this clinic.
