St. Malo Provincial Park

It was an amazing adventure. Great experience for our first time their with family

Great day at the beach, with more to do than we had time for. The boat rental place was super friendly, and we enjoyed the snack bar and playgrounds. Not enough time for mini putt or hiking though!

Bay 11, site 21 is tight for a 36 foot RV but doable. Just wish they would eliminate the three trees that are tight against driveway to make it easier. Once you pass the third tree you have room for awning before having to reverse anymore and come off gravel. All in all St.Malo is always great.

Our first time here. Although I can say the park itself is beautiful and the sites are great, I’m disappointed in everything else. The bathrooms are so outdated and didn’t feel clean to me. The same with the showers. I don’t mind paying but you can’t control the water temperature and it was burning hot both times I went. I would not put a child under it. Plus I saw a bunch of spider eggs up in the corner. When they hatch someone could get a huge surprise! Me, I’d be traumatized!!!And everything was closed unfortunately due to having no one to work. Was looking forward to paddle boat, mini golf and ice cream and couldn’t do/get any of that! So sad that there are no workers! Not the experience I was expecting. On a positive note it was well patrolled by park patrol. The beach looked nice but didn’t even go swimming.

Honestly it's one of the best lakes in Manitoba, especially if you are with kids. The lake is not too big, the beach is clean, and there are lots of playgrounds, changing room, bathrooms, life jackets rental, and BBQ facilities. Food truck sells huge ice cream (the one in the photo is ONE SCOOP) and gelatos and some snacks. Staff are so friendly too. I go there every summer and never had bad experience.

We had a good time kayaking on the lake. It looks like they're still getting set up for the summer. The bouys aren't up for the swimming areas. The canoe rentals aren't set up yet. We ate at the barefoot Cafe. The food is good and the portions are large. It's almost $10 for a hamburger or chicken burger.

I went camping for two nights here. It was a great experience out on this Native land, walking on some trails and swimming! This trip inspired me to further read the oral hi/story of the Treaties that Native people on Turtle Island signed with Europeans to protect their rights and title!

We stayed over the father's day weekend. Sites are large and clean. Easy drive and the beach is clean. It would be nice if they would establish a dog area at the beach. Showers Clean.
