This is the second project Grindstone has undertaken for us. Once again they have exceeded our expectations in replacing our fireplace on the main floor of our home. The design phase was both enjoyable and rewarding, geared to meeting our needs and budget. Unforeseen site conditions were quickly resolved in a collaborative, satisfactory manner. Grindstone’s project lead effectively communicated with us on an ongoing basis to keep the work area clean and to minimize any disruption by the trades working in our home. Renovation to our kitchen. Removed old island, backsplash, and granite. Built new island - stain matched our existing cupboards perfectly. Installed new quartzite countertops, backsplash, sink and faucet. All work done professionally and in a timely manner. From start to finish everyone was helpful, pleasant, and easy to work with. Highly recommend and would use again.

We loved working with Grindstone. They created an addition on the back of our house as well as a complete main floor interior renovation. We worked with their in-house interior designer Tali along with owner Harrison to create a realistic budget, timeline, and visual plan for every little detail. The excellent craftsmanship of our custom built cabinets made our kitchen truly magazine worthy! It’s the centre of our home and brings us such joy to use and be in every day. With a project this scale there was a ton of communication back and forth; and we appreciated being able to discuss all aspects of the job directly with them.10/10 would recommend trusting Grindstone with your next project, they went above and beyond. Five stars isn’t enough for Grindstone. From the initial visit and consultation onward, everyone we met was professional and friendly. The work was done on schedule and to a very high standard of quality. We had them renovate our entire home from the basement to the bedrooms and everything turned out beautifully. In the past 6 years, we have used Grindstone Renovations to update three different properties and we would absolutely look to them again in the future. Recently, we used Grindstone to complete a main floor remodel/update that required structural, electrical, custom island and feature wall builds, as well as paint and a variety of other smaller updates. For us, they were (and are) excellent to deal with. They were very responsive to all our questions and needs, and able to help us navigate several (unknown) issues that were discovered along the way. Harrison and Brendan were terrific at each step and we feel the quality of the completed work was excellent. We are very pleased with how it all looks and feels now that everything is complete. We would absolutely recommend them to our family and friends or anyone who might be looking into a renovation of their own.
