My fiancé and I recently moved to Whitby. We were looking for a location to take my Grandparents classic dining chairs that have been in my family for over 50Years and a rocking chair.I spoke with Judy and her team and they were amazing. They had a great selection of fabric and showed us what would be best in the kitchen for durability, and what would be best for the rocking chair.So after a few weeks of anticipation, Judy called to say my chairs were ready for pickup. When I thought it would take longer. I was sooo happy. The chairs turned out beautifully. Such craftsmanship and attention to detail. Thank you so much. I will be returning for years to come.

Very satisfied with the work that was done. They ordered the material that I had found at another shop. The work was done very quickly but was very professional. The price was more reasonable than the other company and now my chair now has a new lease on life. Thanks so much to everyone who made this possible!

Classic Drapery & Upholstery. Unfortunately I've had a bad experience with this business and would not recommend it. I brought in a very elaborately carved French Louis XV chair and wanted this special antique piece to look its best, and was willing to pay the quoted price without quibbling. The fabric I selected is deep red but the double piping was poorly sewn with a contrasting 'gold thread' which immediately catches the eye, particularly at the carved crest rail which is the chair's showpiece. I suggested that the piping should have been sewn with a red coloured thread that at least approximated the fabric colour so as not to be distracting. I was told beforehand that, 'if there was any problem at all, it would be corrected no problem.' Well the owner was very angry and rude to me when I mentioned the piping, saying to take the chair away without paying or fixing the problem. But I had brought it there to be reupholstered properly, not to scam a business out of money. She was insulting and then said she didn't want any more of my business. The upholsterer she uses is off-site, supposedly an old European craftsman, but I rather doubt that. My late uncle was a master upholsterer and pattern maker for Barrymore furniture for over 40 years and taught me what constitutes a good job. I think this business capitalizes on being on the main street and because they do draperies and other things they are not experts in upholstery. Customers without knowledge may not be able to distinguish a good result from a poor one. The piping thread was changed for me, but the huge bad feelings created by her rudeness remain.

I had a sofa reupholstered, and they did an amazing job. I was very pleased with the end result and their service. The job is also done very quickly.

Great working with the team here. Had a chair reupholstered and it was quick and beautifully done. They picked up the chair and dropped off when complete. Great service all around. Will definately go back.

I want to say that I am so pleased with the reupholstering of my 25 yr old sofa. Judy was patient with me in choosing my material. She was upfront on the fact that it would take four months before they could do they would pick up the sofa. . She called me early January and within a week my sofa was returned to me. I appreciated the fact that she was as good as her word as in this present business state many times we are just given empty promises. My sofa far exceeds my expectations and I know it will last another 25 years. Thank you.Christine D - Whitby
