ACE Rent A Car

Zero stars. Worst experience ever. Ace advertised unlimited mileage but when I picked the car up, there were mileage restrictions. I booked non- refundable so I was stuck and had to pay extra charges. This company falsely advertises their rates. Nowhere on my contract could I find any indication of mileage restrictions and it was advertised as unlimited. Consumer beware. Book with someone else!

I feel cheated as I just booked a car. The rental was quoted in Canadian dollars and it was a good price. The optional insurance window popped up and it was $15/day which I agreed to. Just now after submitting my credit card information I noticed that insurance was charged in USD. Now this is really sneaky and unethical in my opinion. Needless to say, won’t be coming back.

I just want to say that everything went smoothly with getting our rental car. The car is absolutely great. Also, having a free shuttle, from them, saves us money from going to their rental location and back to airport and the staff are nice. Thank you.

Worst rental car company. Worst customer service.We rented a car thru Ace in Calgary. They knew we were arriving at 7 pm. They never told us there was an after hours charge of $100.00 cash until we got to Calgary airport for pickup, even though they advertised 24 hours pickup service. They demanded we pay or they will not pick us up. We had no choice but to pay. The driver was 20 late. They did not give us any receipt and we were told that we will get our receipt when we return the car. On the day to return the car. We got a call at 2:30 demanding that we should return the car at 5 but our agreed time was 6. When we got there at 4 pm the attendant was very rude and refused to give us receipt for the 100.00. On top of their rates are higher than other rental companies in airport who charge with unlimited mileage. No wonder when other rental have no cars available, they still have cars for rent.

I wish I could rate this company lower than a 1. Poor customer service. Rude and very unprofessional. Expensive company. They also charge for mileage, its not unlimited so keep that in mind when booking. Unauthorized charges to my credit card by them! Slow to pick you up from the airport. I'd suggest looking for another vehicle rental company.

We rented a car for 4 days and had a great experience. The rate we got was better than any other car rental for an SUV. The car was new and clean, they provided shuttle to and from the airport. The pick-up was quick and easy which was great considering we had our two young children with us. We found the customer service we received courteous and helpful. We’d definitely rent from Ace again.

They gave my car away and cancelled my reservation without notifying me. Because of a flight delay, I arrived 1.5 hours late, and they were closed when I got there. I called the Calgary location and got no answer so I called head office and my call was dropped. I wasn't too worried because the website says if you don't pick up on time, they hold the reservation for 4 hours within their business hours. Well - they DON'T. The next morning I called when they opened to confirm my booking and they told me they cancelled it last night because I was a no show". I explained my flight delay and was told "flights don't get delayed while in the air - you should have called". I told them their website indicates a 4 hour grace window within their business hours so figured I could pick up the next morning as I was within those time constraints. The guy I spoke to told me to call back in an hour to speak to his manager.That's where things get way worse. Called the Calgary Airport Location and spoke to Max the manager. He did not apologize for cancelling my reservation without notifying me. In fact

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY - Rude and unprofessionalBooked a car rental for 6 days and paid in full on July 7th. Called the rental company and spoke to customer service on August 6th to make amendments to the pick up time which was never changed on my reservation. Upon arrival in Calgary for our trip we called for our shuttle and we were told that there was no longer a car available because we didn't show up within 30 min of our estimated pick up time. This particular weekend there was not a single rental car to be found and shuttles were limited. Nobody called to follow up and they refused to refund our money saying we were a no show even though we paid in full for our car for 6 days. Upon making the reservation it initially states that pick up is at the airport, once you book and receive your confirmation, it then states you are required to call and arrange shuttle pick up and the location is 10-15 minutes away.I received my confirmation email, printed my confirmation. I also called to confirm, ensure the documents I had regarding insurance were in order and update my pick up time and they still didn't have a car available.I believe they are a SCAM.

I rented a car for four days .The car was new and I loved it. But I’d rather go with a car rental company that is actually in the airport. Also, they made me pay an extra $50/day fee for driving outside the city as we were going one day to Banff and another to lake Louise. The other two days we were in the city but still had to pay that fee. When I told him about it, he told me: how are we gonna know that you will only drive in the city? I mean, I ended up paying extra $100 plus taxes for nothing.

Most rude customer service I have ever experienced. My advise - never rent a car from ACE at Calgary location 11124 36 st SE, Calgary, AB. Very unprofessional and rude behavior. Staff demanded liability insurance. When told him is covered under credit card he demanded prove. Eventually refused to rent a car and had no curtesy to provide ride back to airport.Such people should be out of customer service business
