The Gilmour Inn

Stayed here with family on our wedding night. Very comfortable and pleasant stay. Relaxed and friendly setting!

I loved my 2-week stay at The Gilmour Inn! A hot, delicious, generous breakfast with a great selection of tea was a highlight. My room and bathroom were absolutely spotlessly clean. Little touches such as providing complimentary milk and dark chocolate in the room had me feeling spoiled. Richard was a great host and made sure that I had everything I needed. I can't recommend the Gilmour Inn enough! I'm sure to return the next time I'm in Ottawa.

Stayed here for a month. Richard is great host, responsive to emails and very flexible with everything. The room I stayed in was impeccably taken care of each day. The washrooms were clean, the laundry access was a huge plus and most of all the breakfasts were delicious. It definitely took a load off of my back not having to figure out breakfast every day. Parking was easy to access, and the location is top of the line. You are within walking distance to great restaurants, groceries and awesome nightlife as well. No issues whatsoever with my stay, and I will gladly come back here if I'm back in Ottawa in the future.

I was at the Gilmour Inn for two weeks, and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Richard has an incredible attention to detail, providing a spotless room and a hassle-free experience. This alone would be worth the price; but on top of his phenomenal service, he provided amazing warm breakfasts, while always laying out a wide range of cold-breakfast options for people in a rush. I will let the breakfast speak for itself. 5/5, will stay again if I'm back in Ottawa for sure.

What a great experience! Beautiful rooms with A/C, living room and diner area! Breakfast food is more than excellent, with fresh fruits and it looks good on plate!!!! Antique deco is charming with lots of collectible...and It is soooo clean! Host Richard is polite and respectful, and always on top of things for reservation (quick response to emails)...

It looks like this place used to be a proper bed and breakfast and is now owned by some people hosting through Airbnb.I wasn't going to leave a review but the owner sent a really nasty response to my partner's fair and truthful review of the place on Airbnb.The place was just okay. I didn't meet the host(s) in person. It was acceptably clean except for the exterior entryway of the building that had some used personal hygiene products left near the entrance.The host initially left us a positive review saying we were respectful and left my room in good condition. Welcome back anytime." But I guess when he or she read the honest and fair review of the place he or she decided to be incredibly rude and nasty in response

I have travelled extensively for both work and pleasure, and the Gilmour Inn remains one of my favorite places to stay. Above the gorgeous Edwardian-inspired decor and the extremely comfortable bed, the proprietor is simply lovely. He is gracious, accommodating, and makes one hell of a breakfast. I highly recommend The Gilmour Inn for any Ottawa stay!

Outstanding stay. Rooms are beautifully decorated and the whole inn is spotless.

Downtown location in the heart of the LGBTQ community. Welcoming owner...great antiques rooms. A+++++
