Med Grill Royal Oak
Had a 10/10 experience here while dining for my friends mini baby shower. The service was great and the food was AMAZING - I had the 3 course meal they were offering for $35 (so reasonable for what it was!) and every course was prepared and cooked to perfection. Our party stayed over an hour past closing time and the staff didn’t rush us at all to leave. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very inviting too. All in all, one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Victoria in years.

Always enjoy ourselves here, this is a placeholder family frequents. The service is usually ok, it’s always a full house here so staff seem to be “in the weeds” but the food is always on point. Any dish is going to be wonderful. I love sitting on the patio but I’d suggest some wasp traps because you can guarantee you’ll be visited by many once your food arrives. They have A LOT on their menu but seem to do a great job at executing each dish. Sometimes finding parking is a bit hectic because the lot is fairly small.

Oh dear! My first visit in over 3 years, and I must say that it wasn’t as good as I remember. In fact, we sent back our prawns wrapped in bacon as the bacon wasn’t cooked enough. The calamari was good at first, however, the tomato concassé garnish made many of the pieces wet and chewy. The lettuce wrap was DELICIOUS! The service was excellent and the prices are moderate - good for the quality and presentation of most items. I won’t return right away, but will definitely give them another chance.

Scored the last non-reserved table for two (Probably should start making reservations from now on),at 6pm last Friday night. Nice to see the place was packed, but also looked fully staffed. Definitely reserve a table if you're determined to eat here, it really helps.They have this large patio in the shade so it's quite nice (in my opinion) not to be too blinded by the sun and avoid being overly too hot. I didn't sit there, but it's nice to remind that it's there!Ordered the Kalamari for appetizers, my husband got the chicken sandwich with fries, and I got (super exciting for me)- a pizza combo with soup of the day.Soup was good for me, I liked the corn and coconut flavours. The pizza was good- not too much cheese (so I didn't feel like I was heavily clogging the arteries), and a good amount of toppings that you'll have a bite of meat with every bite.The appetizer was alright, although it was a little under for our taste (maybe it was meant to be served that way?), and a little bland for us (probably safer to be under salted than overly salted?).My husband was alright with his meal. Though he found it filling, it just didn't blow him away. I have managed to visit many more times before this, and it had consistently good taste for me.Thus, 4 stars- my husband wanted to give 3.5, but I rounded up; ambience is pleasant for me, the service was prompt, servers were lovely, and everyone that came into the restaurant were greeted in a timely fashion.Of course, it is a nice place to take your date as well.

Fun date night at Med Grill! Huge portions of delicious food. Cedar planked salmon was perfect! Reasonably priced wine & cocktails. The appies are huge! Had calamari & burrata salad- both wonderful!

I went to this restaurant a few times before and I was happy. But we wanted to go there in a group of 10 friends for a long time but we couldn’t get the reservation. Finally we made it last Friday and we enjoyed our time there by good food and service. Totally recommended.

Amazing food and great prices.I got the Beef carparcio ($18) and a lamb goulash ($8) as the soup of the day.My word this food was amazing and with big portions.Richard was my waiter and he was very nice.

The waitstaff are accommodating. Service was timely. We ordered the smoked chicken Garganelli and the bacon cheddar burger with a side of there house salad and fries. I am impressed with the taste and complexity of there fries. I was however not overly impressed by the burger. The pasta was a solid choice. Atmosphere was nice.

First time at Med Grill, and it was amazing. Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. A must to if you're looking for a place to eat in town.
