Mokara Spa

Very nice experience at this Spa inside the King Edward Hotel, you really get a pampered treatment and serviced here. They have a guest lounge and you can help yourself to the little snack bar, if you would like tea they will give you a pot with the tea of your choice. I tried the lavender tea and it was amazing! I got the Majesty’s mani and my sister got the Mokara pedi, bill was about $250 but we both had a wonderful time. You do not feel rushed to leave at all and they encourage you to spend more time in their lounge after your treatment. The prices are as expected with this kind of service and they do add a mandatory 18% gratuity; but I would still recommend coming for a special occasion.

I was sent to Mokara as a birthday surprise by my husband and I could not be happier. The whole experience was hands down like no other. My treatments by both Natalia and Daniel were amazing. I highly recommend this spa and can't wait for my next visit here.

Great year-end spa experience! Had a sweadish massage done by Amanda. She did an absolutely fantastic job and was really attentive. The receptionist, Adriana , was extremely nice as well and gave a thorough tour of the spa and its amenities. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Went to this spa on a Saturday afternoon with my partner. We were greeted by a wonderful host who provided us with indoor slippers and tour of the facilities. They have complimentary snacks, coffee, tea and infused water available before and after your treatment. The ambiance is relaxing, calm, and exactly what you would expect from a high end spa.We had booked a couples massage with hand treatments in their side-by-side tables suite. The suite was intimate and massage table was comfortable but unfortunately it had an unpleasant aroma which lingered and overpowered the essential oils we had chosen. I couldn't tell for certain if it was from the sheets or something else in the room, but it reminded me of a home renovation or out-of-the-box sheets that had not yet been washed.We were also set to have RMTs perform our massage treatments, but were told upon arriving at the Spa that the female therapist we had requested at booking was not going to be available that day. Instead a male therapist was offered as a substitute. My partner was not comfortable having a male therapist so a non-RMT female therapist was asked to step in. While I applaud being able to provide a quick solution, my partner found that the quality of their massage was sub-par even for a non-RMT provided treatment.I sympathize/recognize that the Rogers outage hindered Mokara's ability to call me the day before to advise of the female RMT's absence and offer a solution at that point. Nevertheless, we were disappointed that no discount was offered as a result of the last minute change given it very much affected the quality of the treatment.Overall I am giving a 4 star because I thought the facility was very nice, the host at the front desk was wonderful, and my massage performed by RMT (Arjun) was great - but the strange smell and quality of non-RMT massage was not up to par versus other luxury spas in the city.

Lovely spa tucked inside long Edwards Hotel. Had a great couple's massage, has stream room comfortable change rooms, relaxing waiting rooms and complementary snacks. Prices not listed, the only change I would make. Couples massage around v$250/person

They were very helpful in helping me set up a same day appointment for my two daughters who were both under the age of 12. Sadly, they are extremely overpriced and justify charging $40 for waxing the space between their brows. $40 each for a 9 year old and a 12 year old!!!! Plus they thought it was a good idea to help me by adding an 18% gratuity to my bill. I paid well over $100 dollars to have 2 inches on two kids waxed. My fault for not asking ahead of time but, never in a million years would I have thought I’d be paying more than $25 for each child. I will not be visiting your establishment again.

Went for a mani pedi here today. Absolutely incredible customer care. Highly recommend!

Excellent service!

For all the money they pumped into this spa, it didn’t really live up to the hype. Price was higher than comparable spas and amenities are somewhat lacking. Don’t think I’d return.
