All the positive reviews must be from family and friends, because I wasn't impressed. Sure, they have lovely decor and picturesque store front, but other than that, it's all smoke and mirrors. Mediocre jewelry at jacked up tourist prices.Response to owners response:I find it interesting that the owners are trying desperately to save face with a random spin control" response. They seems to have created a scenario for this review that is sadly laughable. I just shake my head at their silly reply. They can't take constructive feedback and use it to improve on their business. Instead they fabricate the truth in a lame attempt at making excuses why their are overpriced

Mom and I went in to buy gifts for the family and Barb was helpful and informative. The selection is excellent and the prices reasonable. I’ll be going back for sure.

I do love jewelry…I shop all over the world for unique, hand made pieces…in all my travels I have never found a store with such variety(from Haida carved pieces to Israeli one of a kind pieces). I love every visit to Silvermine, I take all my visiting friends and they always leave with something special.

The outside and inside of the store are absolutely beautiful, and the jewelry is amazing. I had such a hard time choosing what I wanted! The lady running the store was so sweet. I’ll definitely return next time I’m in Chemainus :)

A truly unique artisanal shop in Chemainus featuring jewelry that you won’t find anywhere else. Barb and Ian are extremely warm and friendly, they make you feel at ease when in the shop.My personal favourites in the store are the silver jewelry that is created in collaboration with local West Coast First Nations artists.The store is also unique in that features a stop as part of the outdoor Festival of Murals walking self guided tour that Chemainus is Famous for. It is also the only mural that has an audio sound track incorporated into it .
